A family friend is coming to the US for a trade show/convention, and staying
with us. Can I order from German stores and have parts shipped to her house
an delivered to me when she arrives here in the US?
I am just looking for parts, not sets.
Is this acceptable? Can I ask sellers to do that?
She is not an AFOL.
Thank you.

I'm not totally sure I understand your question, but if you are wondering
whether it is possible to have a BrickLink order shipped to an alternate address,
then the answer is yes. At checkout, simply replace the default shipping address
with the alternate one. This will overwrite the PayPal address as well.

It's not that simple anymore. BL will charge Florida sales tax, which may
then have to be paid again upon entry. In addition, the seller may have to charge
VAT since the goods are not going to the USA but, according to the shipping address,
remain within the EU.

Do not change your address!
If you do change your address, your store will get closed and you have to go
through the process of becoming seller again. That may take few weeks.

You can open another account, just for purpose of buying. Then you can change
that address.

I don't recommend buying from Germany this way. Shipping charges from Germany
are, for most German stores, very affordable. Some only charges 9 Euro to ship
worldwide, while they charge maybe 4 euro to ship within Germany. On top of that,
they charge VAT for orders that remain in Germany.
I would just directly order from Germany to your address in the USA.

I am fairly sure this is against TOS.

If they are in Germany then you can get them to open an account and order from
German stores, have the items delivered to their house and then they can bring
them over.

If things go right it is not too hard. But it might be a lot of hassle for not
a huge saving if things go wrong.
