Hello,

Bought a small vintage lot a while back, including the set 371-3. The doors included
was 801a/802a - in other words not authentic as BrickLink lists 801/802 (vertical
handle) as the original pair and no alternate parts.

According to BL, the blue 801a/802a only exists in the set 730-1 from 1973 -
(an american version).

That's strange since 801a/802a is fairly common, I've sold a handful
and found it in vintage lots containing the set 371 previously. This version
from one set are almost ten times more common than it's similar mold from
five sets, although a few sellers might have listed it wrong. The 371-3 were
the last set (all colors) containing this part and they might used a different
mold in Europe?

Does anyone know wether 801a/802a in fact was an alternate, there for original,
part? The same question could probably applicate to the other four sets.

It won't change anything but sometimes you find yourself curious for no good
reason...

Kind Regards

Ola
