| If is just a hinge tile, why isn't just a hinge plate?
I can never find the latter because I forget its name.
BTW - the hinge plate also connects to which isn't a roof. Please
consider dropping the "roof" in these hinge names and call them something else
(possibly "4 fingers" like the 2 and 3 finger hinges).

D'oh. They also connect to canopys which aren't roofs.

Thank you. This leaves in a strange state. It may mostly have been used
as a roof, but I do believe that people will think this is a hinge plate as well.

Yeah, I was looking at that one as well, but consider the following:
is exactly a 1 x 4 plate with hinge fingers so the name works great, but
is neither a 3 x 4 plate with a hinge nor a 4 x 4 plate with a hinge. It is some
kind of strange thing in between the two and it also does not have anti-studs
below it like a normal plate. I believe it makes more sense to keep it as a vehicle
roof rather than considering it a hinge plate.
Cheers,
Randy

Personnaly agree on this, it's not a normal hinge with holes below...
Ah, and it has 11 studs!

Yep, it's a common problematic: to count your fingers you need other fingers.
So, for more than 10, or 11 (erm... for those with an extra one) you can't
count your own fingers.

I agree.
However it would be more accurate if the hinge plate would include the 5 fingers
in it's name to avoid confusion with other hinge 1 x 4 plates.
I mean, in abstract and without an image, hinge plate 1 x 4 could also refer
to the swivel plate or the one with 2 locking fingers too.
