LEGO data is incomplete and doesn't show these, I can't find a box with
piece count and the Instructions doesn't have a parts list. I went through
the instructions once and counted 16. So your intention is to add those 2 as

The original inventory had 18 as regular. It looks like the original inventory
was quite good, going through the change log.

The original inventory had 18 as regular. It looks like the original inventory
was quite good, going through the change log.
It seems the inventory was done from a sealed set, but the extra parts were not
listed as such. This was common at the time, especially for Technic sets, and
there are some inventories that still need to be fixed. Thanks to the new comparison
tool, it should be rather easy now.

I meant to add them as extras. I just missed the spot.
These sets are especially hard since they have multiple builds. I didn't
check what was needed to build. I just assumed the extras got left off. But
Jonas is right. There are probably a lot of extras not broken out. My totals
matched the inventory all except this piece.
I will be adding the specific elastic string later today. I have the picture
ready.
