Hello!
Is there any way I can get Lego bricks a certain color that doesn’t exist on
the catalog? Like, can I message Lego? Or do I just need to paint the piece?
Any help is appreciated.

Btw, I know that “selling modified bricks” is against tos, and so is selling
the “test bricks” so don’t start jumping all over me. I just want to know if
there is a way FOR MY PERSONAL MOCS.

Thanks again! 😊

I think you can’t still get some “test colour” bricks from some stores here and
on the site the didn’t like the original name of this one. Or you can hope they
get released in a future set! I wouldn’t advise painting tho as that would be
sad for the bricks

Unfortunately no. The Moc is needed to be all orange, and these parts are some
of the main pieces.

Yikes. For some parts it’s possible to use other combinations of parts to make
them (even if it gets complicated) I’m pretty sure that large slope could be
recreated with smaller parts and maybe the one bracket you could use a 2 tall
one on the top and an inverted 1 tall on on the bottom etc.

I wish we had an adapter so you can put 2 bricks bottom down together! Does that
make sense? Does that even exist though?

Perhaps try some different pins or bars. I’m decently sure I know what your taking
about and am almost certain I’ve seen it done before.

TLG made those parts decades ago but we mere mortals are not deemed worthy enough
for such advanced building techniques ..

Best solution I know of: make a Wanted List, activate notifications, visit it
from time to time to see if some of the parts got an image, and wait… Zzzzz….

When it comes to nonexistent part/color combinations, you have three main options:

1. Use the same part, in a different color
2. Use a different part, in the same color
3. "Illegal" options (painting, clone bricks, non-LEGO, etc.)

If you're going to paint pieces, I would recommend painting only the side
that will be seen on the final MOC. Painting the studs will make it difficult
to connect to other pieces.

Getting the color to match TLG colors will be challenging, but many paint or
auto shops will be happy to mix you the right colors if you bring them a sample.

As far as I am aware TLG does not make parts to order, so contacting them directly
probably won't get you very far. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

In my opinion, part of the creative fun of building with LEGOs is using a limited
building palette; e.g., only parts from a certain set, or only official LEGO
parts.

AFAIU, prototype parts are a nogo but production parts in off colours are okay
to sell

You can try to contact TLG. I'm sure if you buy a few billion parts you can
get them in whatever colour you desire

Cheers,

Ole

Well, I messaged Lego. Fingers crossed. I’ll give it 2 or 3 weeks, and if I get
no reply, I will go to the paint shop and get a pint of the color I need.
Thanks everyone for your help! 😊

I have a sneaky suspicion that they wont do that but best of luck with the

Someone made a LEGO Ideas project for yellow droid arms:

https://ideas.lego.com/projects/da9aefcd-3edc-44ff-ae5a-8858d11efdb1

Unfortunately, it did not receive 10,000 votes, because it would be really useful
for trains.

  Hello!
Is there any way I can get Lego bricks a certain color that doesn’t exist on
the catalog? Like, can I message Lego? Or do I just need to paint the piece?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks again! 😊

Well, I messaged Lego. Fingers crossed. I’ll give it 2 or 3 weeks, and if I get
no reply, I will go to the paint shop and get a pint of the color I need.
Thanks everyone for your help! 😊

Little update, TLG got back to me, and THEY ARE SENDING ME A COUPLE OF THE PARTS
I NEED FOR FREE! HOW COOL IS THAT!!
Thanks for the help!

Be sure to upload catalog photos! This is incredible news and may allow for the
creation of some other interesting parts in wacky colors.

Don’t forget it’s entirely possible that the employee had a misunderstanding
so we shouldn’t get are hopes up yet. This currently doesn’t make any sense as
it would cost tlg way to much money to do this kind of thing.

what can I say I’m a big pessimist. I’ve got little faith for the future of
humanity much less customer service.

Please post a picture of what you receive, I’m very curious now Their customer
service is famously generous, but I’ve never seen it to the extent of sending
unreleased parts..

Well... TLG's orange is not the same as BL's orange. We all wish you
get the correct color.

106 BR.ORANGE (TLG)
4 ORANGE (BL)

They are the same color. Bricklink and LEGO just use different IDs. Refer to

Btw, I know that “selling modified bricks” is against tos, and so is selling
the “test bricks” so don’t start jumping all over me. I just want to know if
there is a way FOR MY PERSONAL MOCS.

Thanks again! 😊
