| Good morning-
I just received an updated terms and policy agreement from PayPal. I noticed
this:
-U.S. business accounts will not be able to receive personal transactions from
PayPal accounts outside the U.S. starting October 31, 2022.
-U.S. PayPal accounts will not be able to send personal transactions to business
accounts outside the U.S. starting October 31, 2022.
Now, I rarely purchase internationally and I don't sell, so this is probably
moot to me. But: could this have larger implications for others on BrickLink?
I did look through the archive to see if anyone else had brought this up, but
didn't readily see anything. Forgive me if it is a duplicate post.
Just curious-

If by "personal transactions" they mean when someone sends money through the
Friends and Family method, then I think it will be fine.

Based on what I could find, this is what they mean:
"Paypal, the fintech conglomerate headquartered in Sunny city of San Jose in
California, defines 'Personal Payments' as transactions between friends
and family. Money transfer, when initiated through the 'Friends and family'
tab under the 'Send Money' option, is counted under such transactions."

Transactions on BL are business Transactions so this is not an issue.
If you are selling lego to friends and family, you might as well sell away from
BL and their fees completely.
