| Nooooooo! You reminded me I still have to list the rest of my 1x1 plates
These are some photos from early March when they were finished getting sorted
and I’ve been putting most of them off ever since

| Nubs Oh my, that just hurts to look at!
Try counting like 100ish then getting the weight and then doing that for the
rest.
I think that makes sense.

Why 102 and not 100?

Why 102 and not 100?
|
It's the Nobody's Perfect buffer. (And it accounts for variance within
the weight of the parts and the baggies.)
Counting to 100 is annoying. Adding 101 by weight is probably okay. Adding 102
gives me piece of mind.

Low-weight scales give a good approximation. Ignore catalog weight just in case

Ignore catalog weight because the same part in different colors can have a different
weight (!).
Ignore catalog weight because the part may have different varieties that can
have a different weight.

I feel you, I had to do this with ~6.5k 1x1 round tiles a few months back when
making a custom mosaic; it took about 2 hours of just straight counting to do

| As a weak-buyer, if I received one less stud than I ordered, I could literally
mandate that you send me that one stud, at your expense.
Personally, if it were me, I'd order afew more than I wanted, just incase
- some people still thrive of the smalls.

This is what advent calendar trays are good for. Count off 10 into one bay and
so on or another number if you have a lot. If you lose count you only recount
the bay you were adding to. You can also count to a number again 9 is good then
put the 10th in a separate container and repeat until you have less than 10.
then count all the "10th" studs and multiple them by 10 and add the remaining
loose ones. Again you can work with higher numbers if you chose but a 10 rhythm
works pretty good.

I had a pill counter from a pharmacy. It has a flat part and a lower part to
slide the counted pieces into. I did develop a skill that I could look at a bunch
of bricks and in my head know there were 6 or seven bricks and push them back.
And do it again till I was done.
I would still do it twice before I shipped. And then add a couple more. I got
fast and good at counting.
I had over 820,000 spare parts. I was paranoid about shorting a buyer.
