I'll also add that I'm pretty sure that this variation was not an intentional
change by Lego, but merely a common "defect" of the normal piece.

Oh dear - we had wild forum battles^^^^ polite discussions about if this slot
was intented or not (and has any usage) something like 10/15 years ago.
I'm HAPPY this horse is dead!

end this?
