| Hello,
I am new to Bricklink Studio and have begun designing my first MOC. However,
I came across a problem that I can' seem to figure out. I am creating a pentagon
shaped platform and trying to attach it to my base. I am using 1 x 4 hinge bricks
to create the shape, but I can't attach it to my plates because the studs
on my base don't align perfectly with the anti-studs on my plates attached
to the bottom of the hinge bricks. I also tried switching to 1 x 4 hinge swivel
plates. This did not work either. If anyone knows how to attach them or have
any advice on what I need to change, please let me know. I have attached an image
to show the problem I am having.
Thank You.

Hi,
— Take two 2429c01.
— ‘Bend’ one at 36.87° (37° can do) and the other at 53.13° (53° can do).
To ‘bend’ a hinge:
— select it,
— hove over the hand-shaped icon (looks like a wench but it’s a minifig hand…),
there’s 3 icons, click on the rightmost one.
That’s the ‘special pose tool’ that allows to pose/hinge/modify composite parts.
Then:
— click on one plate,
— press 'R',
— now two possibilities:
a. — click on the rotation arrow,
— click in the textfield in the center of the rotation dial,
— enter the value for the angle.
b. — use the arrow keys: one press = 45°, +SHIFT = 5°, +CTRL = 1°.
— click in the empty space to quit the rotation tool,
— double-click in the empty space to quit the special pose tool.
Otherwise, the dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).
Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
