I am sorting through my base plates and I find that the underside of some seem
to have a larger, more rounded (dimpled?) stud impression. I was wondering if
this is a sign that the baseplate is older? At least where green color is involved,
the tint is deeper green.

Can anyone explain the difference? And is it important enough to be noted in
a sale listing?

Thanks for any input!

Also - does it make a difference if the LEGO logo on stud runs horizontally across the longer side or the shorter side?
