Hello

I have noticed that there are two kinds of 2563 Plant, Tree Palm Base

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2563&name=Plant,%20Tree%20Palm%20Base&category=%5BPlant,%20Tree%5D#T=C

and not all of 2536(x) can be connected to 2563.

it is not mentioned in part 2563?

Thanks

Do you have examples and where did you get them from? There are certainly variations
in the trunk parts but I've never had a palm base that won't accept a
trunk.

There are some numbers on the brick - 1 01, 2 01, 3 01, 4 01, 5 01 so 5 types.
I have bought it in random places.

Can you give us more information about what won't snap together?

Looks like the left one has an axle hole on the bottom. Is that what you mean?

The numbers often differ on the same part depending on the position in the mould.
However, the shape around the opening of the base does appear to be different
in your picture.

From your table it looks like all axle versions vehave in the same way, and all
no prongs versions in the same way. Thus the number is not relevant, but shape
important. There are probably both versions with the other numbers out there.

But yes, it would be a good idea to add the info about connectivity based on
shape.

Also 2536c has prongs and 2536a/b hasnot prongs, so its seems that "axle to axle"
matching

I can confirm MaciejK80's observations. In my opinion, connectivity problems
would merit the creation of a new part. 2536 Plant, Tree Palm Trunk can be ordered
from stores in four variants while 2563 Plant, Tree Palm Base remains undiscriminating.
For the benefit of all, I would differentiate 2563 Plant, Tree Palm Base between
the two variants «no Axle Hole» and «Axle Hole with 4 Inside Prongs».
