Does anyone know what color the hoses are for Luke's Landspeeder? I don't
have any hoses near to that color to compare them. My guess was flat silver,
but it doesn't seem to match that color in other parts. I saw somewhere else
they were calling it Metallic Silver, but I don't know.

According to LEGO, they are Flat Silver:

https://brickset.com/parts/6335213/outer-cable-232mm

And they wouldn't match other parts in ABS due to the material used to make
the hoses.

Cheers,

Thanks!

I've been wondering, and please don't take this as any kind of criticism
of how our catalog is being run, but why aren't sets inventoried here faster?
Are we still depending on users to inventory the sets? With Lego owning Bricklink,
I thought the inventory lists would be updated almost at release, either by
Lego supplying a part list, or supplying actual sets for verification.

I very much believe it's still users.
Although lego owns BL, I believe they are leaving it as a hands-off wholly owned
subsidiary as much as possible.

Any parts lists from LEGO official would include inconsistencies in part numbers
and color names so it would probably be more work cross referencing than just
buying the set and inventorying it.

You can also use this new tool from BrickLink:

https://www.bricklink.com/v3/inventorycomparison/main.page?sourceB=1&invB=75341-1&sourceA=0&invA=75341-1

As you can see if we put that data directly into the Inventory of the set here
on BrickLink it wouldn't be accurate to the standard needed here, that's
why a person still needs to add the inventory here. They can have it autopopulated
with that Lego data, but still needs checking.

Hi Jed!

No offense taken. These are just some of the reasons why inventories here have
to be done by individuals:

- LEGO does not include sticker sheets in their data.
- LEGO does not include defined minifigure assemblies in their data.
- LEGO does not include information about extra parts in their data.
- LEGO does not care about what part variants are really in the set.
- LEGO does not name or categorize new parts how BrickLink does.
- LEGO does not name new patterned parts in any way.

And there are more.

BrickLink prides itself on having the most accurate inventories possible, and
that will always include actual users doing inventories. There are some things
we are trying to do behind the scenes to speed up the process, but those are
in the works.

Cheers,
Randy
