| There are only a few pearl dark gray (pdg) monofigs out there and claim to have
pdg hands as well. I could not find on BL the original minifigs where these pdg
hands came from.
Any ideas?

I doubt they are prototypes. Why would they need to prototype a part that has
existed for decades.

I doubt they are prototypes. Why would they need to prototype a part that has

A lot of the illegitimate figures are sold as "prototypes".
They are not.

Exactly. The word prototype is being used to make out these are parts made by
LEGO for testing and on some rare occasions manage to escape from factories,
whereas in reality they are parts illegitimately made (in some cases made to
order) for the collectors' market.

It is highly likely that they escaped a LEGO factory. Mexico, maybe? Tons of
interesting things come from bored LEGO factory employees.
