Thank you for all these extra info.
I copied your info together with the parts from another post. In order of status.

The problem with these Reddish Gold items is, that if you look at them you could
think it’s Pearl Gold. But if you compare them with well known Pearl Gold items,
it’s a very big difference. Not to speak about comparing them with Copper items.
Reddish Gold is very different from all Copper shades. We know that Pearl Gold
also exists in different shades, so does Reddish Gold.

Most of the Copper images of the items below look like Reddish Gold, except for
the sword #48495, but that’s not a real image.

The following Items are completed:

Part No: 44716 Name: Duplo Weight, Hexagonal with Stud
*
44716 Duplo Weight, Hexagonal with Stud
Parts: DUPLO {Reddish Gold}

*

Parts: Window, Glass & Shutter {Reddish Gold}

*

The following items are pending approval for catalog changes and are checked:
(after catalog changes are completed, the inventory change request will be approved)

Part No: 42001 Name: Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
*
42001 Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
Parts: DUPLO, Figure Wear & Utensil {Copper}
PCC 4260749 (Matches the crown ID in the instruction manual)
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
Also exists in pearl gold (already in catalog with PCC 4493378)
The color image of Copper looks just like my reddish gold
All 3 sets checked and inventory change requests pending approval
-----

Part No: 50602 Name: Large Figure Armor, Shoulder with Smooth Layered Plates
*
50602 Large Figure Armor, Shoulder with Smooth Layered Plates
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4253714 (at this moment Reddish Gold has the same PCC as Flat Dark Gold)
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold and remove
PCC RG
Also exists in Flat Dark Gold (PCC 428079 correct?) and Pearl Gold (no PCC)
All 3 sets checked and inventory change requests pending approval
-----

Part No: 50623 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Santis / Dracus / King Mathias (Series 2) with Axle
*
50623 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Santis / Dracus / King Mathias (Series 2) with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255509
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
Has PCC 4493549 for copper, which I think could be Pearl Gold (see Brickset),
but nobody ever added it as alternate to set 8796-1.
Set checked and inventory change request pending approval.
-----

Part No: 50629 Name: Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
*
50629 Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255510
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
can PCC 4284503 be moved from Copper to Pearl Gold?
BL has PCC 4284503 for copper
Brickset has 4284503 for pearl gold, no proof so far Pearl Gold came in a set
though
no color id for flat dark gold
2 set checked, inventory change requests pending approval
-----

Part No: 50624 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
*
50624 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4256812
pending for catalog changes, please change copper to reddish gold
Set checked, inventory change request pending approval
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following items need more research:

Part No: 47460 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
*
47460 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4220674
pending for catalog changes,
So far only copper is a known color (pearl light gold and pearl gold for sale,
but not in any inventory)
Set 8771-1 was checked , leaves another 4 sets to check.
-----

Part No: 50616 Name: Large Figure Crown, King Mathias
*
50616 Large Figure Crown, King Mathias
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4252451, 4263485
both color id’s for reddish gold?
pearl light gold has CID 4283930 (= pearl gold ??)

I ordered both colors to be able to complete my set, but unfortunately seller
only had the copper one, which turned out to be Reddish Gold. It looks more Pearly
then the other Reddish Gold Items.

Although it would be expected that the Reddish Gold came at least in set 8796-1,
because the other parts are also reddish gold, there’s no hard proof. And the
question is, does this crown also exist in Light Pearl Gold, Pearl Gold or both?
Both part 47460 and 50616 are listed for sale in Pearl Gold as well as Light
Pearl Gold.
Both parts are also in the inventories as Copper in sets 8809-1 and 8790-1
Besides that 47460 is listed as copper in sets 8783-1 and 8783-2 (US versions
of 8771-1)
I think more research is necessary before switching Copper to Reddish Gold
for these two parts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part No: 48495 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Greatsword Angular
*
48495 Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Greatsword Angular
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon {Copper}
: PCC 4223106
Reddish Gold is already in the catalog with PCC 4223106
Copper has a rendered image and no PCC
Metallic Gold has no color image, nor a PCC

I have this sword in 6 different ‘Gold’ shades. Both Reddish Gold and Pearl
Gold in 2 different shades, the darkest of each has some kind of a metallic look.
So my guess is that sellers list the darker ones as Copper, resp. Metallic Gold
and that it came in the inventories because of the same reason. Besides those
4, I have a Flat Dark Gold and one that could be Light Pearl Gold (I have nothing
left to compare).

Besides Copper, I also think this sword doesn’t exist in Metallic Gold (not sure
though).
About the ones I have: no idea from which sets they came.

Parts from your other post:

Part No: 50653pb01 Name: Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Bear with Red and Pearl Sand Blue Pattern
*
50653pb01 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Bear with Red and Pearl Sand Blue Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}
I have this shield, it’s not reddish gold, nor flat dark gold, nor light pearl
gold, nor pearl gold.
It’s closest to the flat dark gold duplo brick 2x2, that isn’t flat dark gold
either imo.
It looks more like Pearl Dark Gold.
-----
50655: PCC 4257211, 4261127, 4265322

Part No: 50655pb01 Name: Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue and Silver Pattern
*
50655pb01 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue and Silver Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}
I have one, same color as 50653pb01

Part No: 50655pb02 Name: Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue Pattern
*
50655pb02 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}

Part No: bb0188 Name: Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
*
bb0188 Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
Parts: Magnet {Pearl Gold}
Item 52655: PCC 4260754
Brickset's is NOT SPECIFIED, but this ID suggests that it is too early to
be Pearl Gold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part No: 47474 Name: Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
*
47474 Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Light Gold}
: CID 4221623, 4244147
This part may display extreme variation. Still attempting to confirm

Reddish Gold element IDs span from 4185113 to 4268864
Pearl Gold IDs start at 4278076

only had the copper one, which turned out to be Reddish Gold.

I bought this sword the other day in metallic gold and copper. I discussed with
the seller, in advance, my doubts that the colors existed and pointed him to
my comparison pics and he felt confident that he had them. My doubts have not
disappeared and I'm not going to be demanding any refunds or anything, but
I am hoping that one or the other might teach us something.

I think such confusion is to be expected when
1) the BrickLink catalog conflates colors, and
2) there is variation within the LEGO colors.

He did say his copper sword doesn't look like the 3rd party render, but it
looked like the copper image that was there before the 3rd party render. I have
no experience with the previous image. But he felt confident it wasn't reddish
gold. We'll see in a few days. Metallic Gold would shock me, but I really
hope there is a copper one.

I expect it will be a variation like this.

In this image:
2 x pearl gold
2 x reddish gold
1 x flat dark gold

As long as these colors are not fixed in the catalog, you can expect any color
if you order Copper. Did you notice the light one on my image.

It's very hard to tell by the images I found. Hope you have enough gold shades

I had Legs in Pearl Light Gold, but sold them all. I have nothing to compare

No it's not. But it has to come from somewhere?
I bought a lot of these swords as loose parts, so I don't know which sets
they came from.

Hope somebody knows!

Pearl Light Gold was only used for minifigure parts. It is closer to being a
pearly version of Tan/Light Yellow than it is to any of the other gold colors.
Anything non-minifigure under ‘Pearl Light Gold’ is 100% wrong and should be
checked.

pearly version of Tan/Light Yellow than it is to any of the other gold colors.
Anything non-minifigure under ‘Pearl Light Gold’ is 100% wrong and should be
checked.

Found 3 shades of Reddish Gold in Leg Armors, the lightest sword I have looks
like the lightest Reddish Gold Armor.

We have made progress now Reddish Gold, Bionicle Gold and Bionicle Copper are
no longer conflated with BrickLink Copper.

Indeed we have! I think Bionicle Gold was under Metallic Gold, previously.

The final count for these colors should be
Flat Dark Gold: 50 parts
Reddish Gold: 28 parts
Pearl Light Gold: 13 parts (this should be easy)

The goal is to never have to touch any of these confusing Gold colors ever again.
The ‘Pearl’ section is finally getting the clean up it deserves!

Metallic gold would be a coating. I have not found any swords in other "copper"-shades
than Reddish Gold. As far as I know, those parts do not exist.

I tried to fix these colors many years ago but was unsuccessful.

I purchased a

I will open tomorrow to confirm, but both the king and the purple knight are
holding a sword that matches this one here in the middle. Copper and Pearl Gold
scimitar included for comparison. There is obviously no Yellow sword in my set.

Hi Jen,

Great you found it. Are you sure you want to open it?
If both the king and purple knight have indeed the same color sword (hard to
tell by the set image), looking at the comparison image I would say it's
reddish gold.

Imo you have
- 1 black
- 1 flat dark gold
- 1 metal blue

- 2 reddish gold
- 1 pearl light gray (pre 2010 silver)

But let's see what our color experts have to say.

I've had a scavenger hunt for all these swords I could find and took a quick
pic. The second image indicates which ones match up to the parts in my magnet
set. The last image compares the silver ones to a known Pearl Light Gray and
a modern Flat Silver part.

So, the consensus is: Black, Metal Blue, Flat Dark Gold, 2 Reddish Gold, Pearl
Light Gray (even though it is the darker of the 2 shades)?

Thank you! I will submit the change requests... I wish we know who BLUSER_65485
was who did the original inventory. I suspect the addition of the Yellow sword
was a result of the reflection on the box in the set image. I guess we will never
know!

For what it's worth, that was my assumption as well concerning the yellow
sword in that set.

Thank you! I will submit the change requests... I wish we know who BLUSER_65485
was who did the original inventory. I suspect the addition of the Yellow sword
was a result of the reflection on the box in the set image. I guess we will never
know!

I knew I could trace their contributions via their 'loser' number but
wait...is there a way to look up their real user name somewhere? It makes me
crazy, CRAZY! to see BLUSERs and bb####s in our catalog and on our Contributions
page. It's just not right. We shouldn't erase people's credit in
this way.

There isn't or if there is, rather there shouldn't.
It follows from the GDPA (Global Data Protection Act): People have the right
to be forgotten and consequently, companies have the obligation to delete personal
data that they don't have continued permission for.
Contributors have signed over their contribution for indefinite times, but have
only given permission to display their user name along it for as long as they
are registered on this site.

Usernames might be considered public as for "14. User Generated Content" from
the ToS, I'm not any expert nor I know anything more than what it is wrote
there, but a username is a publicly visible content you generate when you register.
Maybe BL could technically retain the usernames but just decided to anonymize
them.

Sure, if you want to delete your shopping history or other private info. Catalog
contributions are not private. You can ask for them to be deleted, but deregistering
certainly does not automatically include deletions of such content. I don't
think Wikipedia anonymizes content contributions just because a user is no longer
registered? The user name that submits the data becomes part of that historical
record. I believe our images here are also protected under the common copyright
laws. Our contributors should NOT be deleted unless they request it and their
user names should stay unless they change them. If I leave and BL changes all
my image credit to BLUSER666 then they have done it without my permission.

The Internet Archive takes snapshots from time to time from most websites, just
checked a couple of inventories pages an there was his username.

Well done Jen, nice images. Change request already approved.
9 sets with a 'Copper' Sword to go.

I think your image of the set is much better then the one in the catalog. Also
the sword colors. Maybe you want to add it?!

Thanks! Yes, I will submit a new set image and replace the generic renders for
the swords I have.

For what it's worth, I have sorted through multiple used copies of 8781 and
8813 over the years and have never found a sword not resembling one of the ones
I pictured earlier. Not a copper in sight...

I just popped my 8813 open before bed and at first I thought I found something
perplexing, but it turns out to be just frustrating. My set has Pearl Gold,
but that was already listed as a variant. Is there any angle to consider that
Pearl Gold is all there ever was?

I don't think I'm going to look for another 8813, but I think here4 only
left this one alone because I had called it. I think everyone is pretty sure
that the sword didn't come in a color that we haven't seen lately, right?

The 'Copper' sword in this set could have just been another Pearl Gold
variant. Reddish Gold appears to be incredibly inconsistent, so it's possible
that someone mistook a bad Pearl Gold for a REALLY bad Reddish Gold (under Copper
at the time). Have a look at just how bad these two colors can get: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=47474#T=C&C=115

47474 is Reddish Gold, but because the part shows extreme variation, it is hard
to prove. All I have as evidence is the ElementID.

There's a photo somewhere in this long thread of Reddish Gold swords and
armor pieces in different shades of RG. 47474 is still the part that appears
more inconsistent than others. This set should have the Copper one removed and
the Pearl Gold sword moved to the main section.

Are the Silver parts all lighter than your typical Pearl Light Gray? Nothing
in this set should be Flat Silver.

They look Flat Silver to me. I will work on a picture tonight or this weekend.
I am covered with orders this morning.

Mine are pretty consistent.

The ‘Flat Silver’ swords are TLG 131 Silver or BL Pearl Light Gray/Flat Silver.
The ‘Pearl Light Gray’ swords are TLG 296 Cool Silver or BL Pearl Light Gray.
This is an issue I have brought up before with not recognizing Cool Silver.

Randy has suggested that any pre-2010 Flat Silver part be moved to Pearl Light
Gray so that BL Pearl Light Gray contains both old Silver and 2006 Silver. I
have to go back and look at my list, but there are over a hundred parts that
come in both 131 and 296, so sellers will probably continue to sell darker old
Silver parts under Flat Silver.

The eventual goal is to have BL Flat Silver contain TLG 315 Silver Metallic (2011
Silver) because right now it contains Cool Silver IDs, new Silver parts, and
old Silver parts.

I send a message to the catalog side to move 3 colors of this sword. Randy is
working on it and if agreed and moved in the catalog, we can change all remaining

4278077 is for part 48495 in Cool Silver. That colour is not part of the current
catalog and should be conflated with Pearl Light Gray.

So yes, there are two colours and two PCC, but in BrickLink they are both Pearl
Light Gray.

If we keep making exceptions when two silver colours are known in the catalog,
then we will never be able to untangle this mess. If we do move the part, the
mess can be limited to Pearl Light Gray only.

The Pearl Light Gray and Flat Silver project is huge. It will take lots of time
and planning, so don't expect it to happen overnight.

This is true. The Flat Silver sword is the main color under Pearl Light Gray,
but Cool Silver being much lighter creates a problem. I think we can submit change
requests, but it’s probably best to leave 2006 alone until Cool Silver gets a
color of its own. It is indeed a massive project, and even the comic guy thinks
so: http://v4ei.com/comics/index.php?id=silver&check=2200

Should we request to have the Metallic Gold swords changed in their sets? A part

According to our color experts, reddish gold and flat dark gold were both replaced
by pearl gold starting in 2006. So anything other than pearl gold swords in 8813
would have been a problem for us.

Please submit a request to remove the copper swords and make the pearl gold the

The only challenges now are the Ravensburger sets. The catalog photo is gone,
though. I believe the admins have also reached the conclusion that a Copper sword
doesn't really exist.

We removed the catalog image because it was a render and catalog entries having
no images persuades sellers to submit images that are missing. Maybe we will
get a copper image, maybe not. We shall see, but we have not yet made a conclusion.

I tried to fix these colors many years ago but was unsuccessful.

I purchased a

Gear No: 851542 Name: Magnet Set, Minifigures Knights Kingdom II (6) blister pack
*
851542 (Inv) Magnet Set, Minifigures Knights Kingdom II (6) blister pack
Gear: Magnet: Castle: Knights Kingdom II

New and Sealed to check the colors. Now I just have to find it again...

Jen

Found it!

I can't take better pics until tomorrow but here's what I got:

I will open tomorrow to confirm, but both the king and the purple knight are
holding a sword that matches this one here in the middle. Copper and Pearl Gold
scimitar included for comparison. There is obviously no Yellow sword in my set.

Jen

Diana

I've had a scavenger hunt for all these swords I could find and took a quick
pic. The second image indicates which ones match up to the parts in my magnet
set. The last image compares the silver ones to a known Pearl Light Gray and
a modern Flat Silver part.

So, the consensus is: Black, Metal Blue, Flat Dark Gold, 2 Reddish Gold, Pearl
Light Gray (even though it is the darker of the 2 shades)?

Jen

Yes. This is actually a really helpful reference. Randy noted yesterday that
Flat Silver parts in sets before 2010 would be moved into Pearl Light Gray.

The sword on the left is Cool Silver (not on BL but under both Pearl Light Gray
and Flat Silver), and the sword on the right is Pearl Light Gray. Cool Silver
is lighter than the standard Silver that was around for most of the 2000s, but
was only used in 2006. If you have two similar parts that you know never came
in the newer Flat Silver, then it is best to put them both under Pearl Light
Gray (maybe attach a note for the lighter one?).

tl;dr If it is darker and not modern Flat Silver, it is still Pearl Light Gray.

Metallic gold would be a coating. I have not found any swords in other "copper"-shades
than Reddish Gold. As far as I know, those parts do not exist.

There won’t be a Copper one. Funnily enough, 48495 ‘Reddish Gold’ swords are
4x+ as expensive as ‘Copper’ ones. It’s clear that this confuses some sellers
into overcharging for swords they probably thought were different than Copper.
Serious issue? Maybe not, but it is interesting. Buy your ‘Reddish Gold’ swords
under ‘Copper’!

Do you still have 8823? I can’t find any evidence that the swords in that set
are ‘Flat Dark Gold’. No offsite listings or YouTube videos have this set with
Flat Dark Gold swords. Curious.

I parted that set out several years ago, long before Flat Dark Gold was added.
The change to that color is not in the log, so it was done behind the scenes.
For what it is worth, my gut says that if my set had Flat Dark Gold it would've
gotten my attention in a big way. It is a very stark color and I don't believe
I would have believed it was whatever the inventory said at the time and I almost
certainly would have kept it.

The Duplo parts are flat dark gold (Sand Yellow Metalic). The color differences
are due to different materials. The "rubber-like" materials are darker.

The color of those shields is determined by color of back/edge 'brick'

Yes, the base/back colour is used.

Attached a photo with two shields in Pearl Gold (Warm Gold). There is a LOT of
variation within that colour.

That is why we see a lot of sellers selling the lighter shades as "Pearl Light
Gold" and the darker shades as "Flat Dark Gold", while the parts are actually
variations of Pearl Gold.

The difference between the darkest shade of Pearl Gold and Flat Dark Gold is
smaller than the difference between the darkest and lightest shades of Pearl

50653pb01 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Bear with Red and Pearl Sand Blue Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}

I don't know if these numbers say anything.

If these parts are both Sand Yellow Metallic, then it is possible that they appeared
as Pearl Gold down the line, but again, only an Element ID exists.
My source has picked up ID 4265329 for part 50653pb01 in TLG 147 Sand Yellow
Metallic.
The previously given IDs for part 50655pb01 should also go under TLG 147.

Reddish Gold was also wildly inconsistent?
The shields should be Flat Dark Gold, no questions asked.
How does the magnet look on top of the darker Reddish Gold parts? 47474 is also
very inconsistent, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the magnet were actually Reddish
Gold. Perhaps it should just go under N/A.

I suspect those large figures were not produced by Lego, which could explain
the poor color matching and translucent materials. I'm still not sure whether
the torso was meant to be color 211. None of the components seem to have normal
part numbers on them.

The following items are pending approval for catalog changes and are checked:
(after catalog changes are completed, the inventory change request will be approved)

Part No: 42001 Name: Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
*
42001 Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
Parts: DUPLO, Figure Wear & Utensil {Copper}

Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}

Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255509
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
Has PCC 4493549 for copper, which I think could be Pearl Gold (see Brickset),
but nobody ever added it as alternate to set 8796-1.
Set checked and inventory change request pending approval.
-----

Part No: 50629 Name: Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
*
50629 Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255510
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
can PCC 4284503 be moved from Copper to Pearl Gold?
BL has PCC 4284503 for copper
Brickset has 4284503 for pearl gold, no proof so far Pearl Gold came in a set
though
no color id for flat dark gold
2 set checked, inventory change requests pending approval
-----

Part No: 50624 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
*
50624 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4256812
pending for catalog changes, please change copper to reddish gold
Set checked, inventory change request pending approval
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following items need more research:

Part No: 47460 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
*
47460 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4220674
pending for catalog changes,
So far only copper is a known color (pearl light gold and pearl gold for sale,
but not in any inventory)
Set 8771-1 was checked , leaves another 4 sets to check.
-----

Part No: 50616 Name: Large Figure Crown, King Mathias
*
50616 Large Figure Crown, King Mathias
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}

Parts: Minifigure, Weapon {Copper}

Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}
I have this shield, it’s not reddish gold, nor flat dark gold, nor light pearl
gold, nor pearl gold.
It’s closest to the flat dark gold duplo brick 2x2, that isn’t flat dark gold
either imo.
It looks more like Pearl Dark Gold.
-----
50655: PCC 4257211, 4261127, 4265322

Part No: 50655pb01 Name: Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue and Silver Pattern
*
50655pb01 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue and Silver Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}
I have one, same color as 50653pb01

Part No: 50655pb02 Name: Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue Pattern
*
50655pb02 Large Figure Shield, 2 x 4 Brick Relief, Jayko Hawk with Dark Blue Pattern
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Gold}

Part No: bb0188 Name: Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
*
bb0188 Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
Parts: Magnet {Pearl Gold}
Item 52655: PCC 4260754
Brickset's is NOT SPECIFIED, but this ID suggests that it is too early to
be Pearl Gold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part No: 47474 Name: Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
*
47474 Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Light Gold}
: CID 4221623, 4244147
This part may display extreme variation. Still attempting to confirm

Reddish Gold element IDs span from 4185113 to 4268864
Pearl Gold IDs start at 4278076

Any ‘Gold’ items with element IDs 4275XXX+ should be Pearl Gold, but like some
parts, only element IDs exist. Some of the parts never made it into any sets.
47474 has been confirmed by Ryan to be Reddish Gold.

Imo this one could be moved to Reddish Gold also.
It's very obvious now that all these 'Knights Kingdom II' parts don't
exist in Copper.
If this sword is ever found in another Gold color, it can be added later once
there's proof. One seller has own images for this part, that look like Flat
Dark Gold, but these images don't show the right color imo, an image of a
Flat Dark Gold sword almost looks black.

We really need to get rid of these Copper parts that aren't copper.

I will send a message to bunte-steine.de who has 396 out of the 580 listings

I believe all 48495s should be moved to Reddish Gold. As it stands, a buyer-seller
issue exists because Reddish Gold swords exist under ‘Reddish Gold’ and ‘Copper’.
A buyer would be incredibly confused to learn that both swords they purchased
were the exact same color, leading to potential bad reviews that are of no fault
of the seller. There’s enough evidence to suggest that this part does not exist
in Copper.

I have one of the copper sets on the way. I doubt I will be able to open the

The castle's runtime was within Reddish Gold's, as in before Pearl Gold
was around. The set absolutely has Reddish Gold swords, but we need photo evidence.
I will try to look for some. The chess set should also contain Reddish Gold swords.
I am still unsure about 8813 and 8823.

That being said, the Gear section needs some work. I mean: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3010&colorID=44&in=A

I bought 8813 over a week ago and it is marked packed, but it is a seller that
was pointed out as a slow shipper in the forum.

I doubt I will be able to open the
castle, but it is possible I will be able to get the chess set.

I mean: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3010&colorID=44&in=A
A 1x4 brick in Light Violet appearing in a 2016 gear?

The alternate section is what bugs me about that set. Alternate undetermined
part? If the sword you find is Pearl Gold, I suggest removing the Copper sword
from the set. It’s highly unlikely that 2006 was still using that color, and
the current inventory could have been the result of a mistake or somebody who
bought a second hand set with the wrong sword.

  Please change color Copper to Reddish Gold for the following Items:

Update Pending for Approval Catalog color moves:

  -----

The following items are pending approval for catalog changes and are checked:
(after catalog changes are completed, the inventory change request will be approved)

Part No: 42001 Name: Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
*
42001 Duplo Wear Crown, Closed Top
Parts: DUPLO, Figure Wear & Utensil {Copper}

Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}

Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255509
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
Has PCC 4493549 for copper, which I think could be Pearl Gold (see Brickset),
but nobody ever added it as alternate to set 8796-1.
Set checked and inventory change request pending approval.
-----

Part No: 50629 Name: Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
*
50629 Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard Type 1
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4255510
pending for catalog changes, please change Copper to Reddish Gold
can PCC 4284503 be moved from Copper to Pearl Gold?
BL has PCC 4284503 for copper
Brickset has 4284503 for pearl gold, no proof so far Pearl Gold came in a set
though
no color id for flat dark gold
2 set checked, inventory change requests pending approval
-----

Part No: 50624 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
*
50624 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Sir Danju with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4256812
pending for catalog changes, please change copper to reddish gold
Set checked, inventory change request pending approval
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following items need more research:

Part No: 47460 Name: Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
*
47460 Large Figure Weapon, Sword Jayko / King Mathias (Series 1) with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Copper}
PCC 4220674
pending for catalog changes,
So far only copper is a known color (pearl light gold and pearl gold for sale,
but not in any inventory)
Set 8771-1 was checked , leaves another 4 sets to check.

  -----

Part No: 48495 Name: Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Greatsword Angular
*
48495 Minifigure, Weapon Sword, Greatsword Angular
Parts: Minifigure, Weapon {Copper}

This is the hardest one.
At the moment there are 10 sets left with this sword in Copper.
Jen has to find her set

Gear No: 851542 Name: Magnet Set, Minifigures Knights Kingdom II (6) blister pack
*
851542 (Inv) Magnet Set, Minifigures Knights Kingdom II (6) blister pack
Gear: Magnet: Castle: Knights Kingdom II

I will send a message to bunte-steine.de who has 396 out of the 580 listings
for sale. I'll ask to check the colors and if he knows from which sets /
year they came. It looks like he doesn't add new parts to old listings.

Part No: bb0188 Name: Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
*
bb0188 Magnet Ball, Harry Potter Sports
Parts: Magnet {Pearl Gold}
Item 52655: PCC 4260754
Brickset's is NOT SPECIFIED, but this ID suggests that it is too early to
be Pearl Gold.

The color comes closest to the Pearl Gold Knight Kingdom Shields, but like said
above the PCC suggests that it's too early to be Pearl Gold.

Daniel suggests to move this one to N/A

-------------------------------

Does anyone have this part? I noticed just now that it's under category:
Magnets.
But the one I have is not a magnet. It does have Lego embossed.

-------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part No: 47474 Name: Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
*
47474 Large Figure Shield Holder with Axle
Parts: Large Figure Part {Pearl Light Gold}
: CID 4221623, 4244147
This part may display extreme variation. Still attempting to confirm

Reddish Gold element IDs span from 4185113 to 4268864
Pearl Gold IDs start at 4278076

Comments from Daniel:

Any ‘Gold’ items with element IDs 4275XXX+ should be Pearl Gold, but like some
parts, only element IDs exist. Some of the parts never made it into any sets.
47474 has been confirmed by Ryan to be Reddish Gold.

Another question about a different part:

Part No: 90398 Name: Minifigure, Utensil Statuette / Trophy
*
90398 Minifigure, Utensil Statuette / Trophy
Parts: Minifigure, Utensil {Copper}

Any idea's about the color?
I received pictures compared with other copper parts from the period, but it
doesn't really look like TLG 300.

It is from years later and perhaps is another TLG color, but it is copper color.
I'm not sure it would be worth getting a new color.

It is a painted copper coating similar to Metallic Silver or Metallic Gold.
I would like to see this added as Metallic Copper to the BrickLink colors.

In light of Randy's bring-up-to-speed, I agree with him.

It would mean uprooting the copper piece from my small color chart, but then
I suppose it wasn't really an appropriate marker anyway.

Closer to 300 then imo. But it is a painted copper coating indeed.

What about:
139 Copper (2003-2008)
300 Copper, Drum Lacquered (2008-2012)
346 Copper Metallic (2017-2020)

Keep in mind that all collectifig parts from that era were produced by a factory
contracted by Lego, since Lego hadn't built their own factory in China yet.
So it was a little harder to tightly control colors.

No.

Old: LEGO 139 Copper
New: LEGO 346 Copper Metallic
