| Is there a resource or something somewhere where I can learn about automatic
checkouts on Bricklink? Currently I have my shipping methods set to manual so
I can determine the weight and dimensions with the item in a box/padded envelope
and then I send them an invoice. I see several sellers have automatic checkout
and somehow, it figures out the shipping. How can the automatic checkout accurately
figure out the shipping costs (especially for international shipping)? I want
to make sure I am not losing sales because my shipping is set to manual. If
I am losing sales because of that, I would like to learn how to set my shipping
methods to automatic but still estimate shipping accurately so I don't charge
my customers too much or charge to little where I lose profits. Thanks.

You couldn't locate the Help pages?
I searched for you and found 5 pages:

Yeah, all the help on this site regarding Instant Checkout is about as clear
as mud in my opinion.
Basically, to set up international shipping, you would have to add a shipping
method for each different size/weight/country combination you intend to sell.
You would have to spend some time getting the padding and dimensions correct
to get the system to charge the amount you need to ship a packed set. Alternately,
you can manually change the weight and dimensions of the sets in your inventory
to include their packing box.
However, international shipping is so, so expensive. I don't believe that
you are missing out on international orders because you don't have IC. I
think the problem is that a small box sent to western Europe, for example, costs
about $24. Ouch. Buyers also have to pay VAT and other fees sometimes. It adds
up to a prohibitive amount.
There are lots of people on the Forum who are experts and can hopefully answer
your questions if you do decide to set up the IC.
Good luck,
Jen

| 1001bricks, way to make a fellow seller feel stupid. It's not nice to tell
someone they asked a stupid question if they honestly don't know the answer.
WTF? Thank you Jennifer for your input.
