The Dutch LEGO museum in Grootegast will be showing my 2x4 test brick collection.

In a temporary exhibit you can see my collection for real.

If you are visiting the museum and are tired of all the great sets, wooden LEGO,
old sets, new sets etc etc. the museum has to offer.
Why not take a break and go see something nice and quiet

The 26th I will be there too, if you are going, let me know and I can maybe meet
or leave something nice behind.

Enjoy,
Maxx

It's funny isn't it. What appears a great collection to some will appear
as just an arrangement of standard lego bricks in lots of colours to others.

"What is special about that? I've got more 2x4 bricks than that!"

Do you have an explainer sheet or panel, so anyone that reads it can understand
why this is special and not just the standard bricks spread all over the floor
of their kids' bedroom?

Yes, that was my idea too when I was asked, but the owner said it was his museum,
so he could show whatever he wants

Yes, there are explanations with every showcase telling what is inside.

I hope he hasn’t, I’m still planning the “Great Lego heist”, it would make that
a little more difficult.

Maxx will be cringing at the thought of glue anywhere near his prized bricks.

Funny as it seems, things like that do happen.

Once worked for a retail stamp dealer that issued a sales catalogue for auctions.

The normal process was to moc up the cover with real, expensive stamps in Hawid
strips and have them photographed.

As usual, we used a particular photographer who knew how to handle them and straighten
them if needed.

On one occasion when they were returned it was my job to put them back inside
their normal covered cards, I found they had all been secured inside the strips
with tape attached to the backs.

The original photographer had been too busy and had had another guy do them for
him, the result being thousands of pounds compensation being paid by the original
photographer.

Not sure what he did with the stamps as you cannot remove tape from stamps, especially
those with gum, without damaging them.

I'd be you, I wouldn't let Stuart approach this Collection closer than
30 feet away!

In case he wants to see better, lend him a pair of binocular - it's safer!

Yes, only took about 20 years to collect

The Dutch LEGO museum in Grootegast will be showing my 2x4 test brick collection.

In a temporary exhibit you can see my collection for real.

If you are visiting the museum and are tired of all the great sets, wooden LEGO,
old sets, new sets etc etc. the museum has to offer.
Why not take a break and go see something nice and quiet

The 26th I will be there too, if you are going, let me know and I can maybe meet
or leave something nice behind.

Enjoy,
Maxx

It's the place to be in this museum!

Thanks Paul, yes, they have been in dark drawers for years

I hope a lot of people get to see them before I lock them up in the dark again.
