Hi, does anyone happen to have a link to a good help guide to adding new Counterparts
to the Catalog? Unfortunately I don't find the standard BL instructions to
be very helpful as to how to choose the appropriate part# as required for entry.

I am always happy to help new contributors. What part are you looking to add?
I can walk you through the process.

In general, a stickered counterpart is going to be numbered:

base part number + 'pb' + next available sequential number

So, if you are adding a new 1x2 tile, it would be:

3069b pb 1021

removing the spaces of course. 1021 is just my current guess as to what the next
number available might be. To find this, do a Catalog Search for 3069b* then
sort the results by Date and Down to see the most recent additions to the catalog.
This works better than sorting by number.

It is possible that someone has already added a part with the same number and
it is still pending. You can go here and check:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPend.asp

But, the system will prompt you to use the next number if yours is already in
use so you don't have to worry too much about it.

Hope this helps get you started!
Jen

Thanks, I think I've got the process figured out now. I have submitted my
entry and image for pending approval.

I appreciate all of your help.
