Hi Bricklink team!

For me this site is not only the ultimate LEGO database, but also the best trading
platform you could imagine.
The ONLY thing I am missing very much is a kind of inventory function for also
non sellers.

I would love to see a possibility to mark sets I own in the sense of a collection
I can easily see, access and share.

Maybe this was already requested many times and the solution is simply to register
as a seller, use the inventory and not sell the sets in stock somehow?!

If not, I'm very new here and without having contributed much to the community
yet, it is of course not my place to request new features.. so please take it
simply as an inspiration to make this wonderful website even greater.

I back that! I'd also like to see some function to split my inventory in
one only I (or people with password) can access and one that everybody can see.

Why not use a site that already has that feature?

If they are going to introduce something like this, I don't see why it should
be limited to buyers. Some sellers also collect too.

Agreed. I use Rebrickable to track my personal Lego - both sets and loose parts
- as it's generally far better suited to that task than BL inventory. Integration
with BL, in both directions, is good enough that I never feel like I'm missing
out on BL features, but it adds a lot of tools for manipulation of inventory
(both real and virtual, eg planned builds) that BL lacks.

Others use Brickset, Brickeconomy, or perhaps even more sites, and have their
own reasons for preferring those. There are enough options that using limited
BL development time on reproducing functionality here seems like a waste.
