| Does this part exist in trans-red?
I got one, but it does not have the small flat side in the base ring and no LEGO
logo or other markings visible. Fake?

And could it be a 6126 with the pins broken?

Not that 6126 appeared in Trans-Red in a set but a few sellers have them for
sale Used.
So maybe it’s 6126 Trans-Red that existed… or it’s an old shade of Trans-(Neon)Orange
that looks like Trans-Red.

| Sorry, not the best picture under artificial light.
- one on the left is a neon-orange 6126 for comparison
- no pins or flat sides on the trans-red one
- don't think it's an different shade of neon-orange. It's not as
opaque as neon-orange.
- also same round sprue/mold mark halfway up the flame

Have you tried UV light? Neon colours are supposed to glow.

The colors in your picture are shifted, but if the one on the left is Trans-Neon
Orange, the one on the right looks to be a dark instance of a normal Trans-Orange
piece, not Trans-Red. Don't you have a Trans-Red piece to compare it with?

I do have a trans-red piece, it's identical in color
