Can someone please help me list an item.

I would like to list the small box of special parts from set 75978 as a separate
item in our store. It is new and unopened. I have tried all of the numbers
on the box and none of them work. BrickLink said that it can not be listed with
the set number and a description but I can not figure out from their e-mail how
to actually list the item.

Silencio!

Perhaps the admins will allow us to add and inventory the box similar to the
cardboard sleeves?

I haven't opened my set yet, but I could be easily convinced.

Otherwise, you would need to list it as an Unsorted Lot?

And by the way, BrickLink, you could you PLEASE remove the hidden Lego at the
start of every Catalog Name entry? It is unnecessary, was put in place to support
off-brand sales, and creates more work for us contributors who are frequently
copying and pasting names.

A lot of big sets have white numbered boxes inside.

I think this one is different as it is small, has special box art, and is meant
to be a little secret until the end of the build.

I have no problem with it getting in the catalog, but this might wind up being
a barrier. I can't remember what is in there. I know a Harry minifig.
What else? Is it a complete something that someone will want?

Belville sets often have bags with a few clothing items in them and a sticker
with a number on it, but I think they didn't make the catalog because you
can see what is inside easily. I doubt a lot of cardboard sleeves sell under
their listing (I guess we could look), but I think they got listings because
people felt like it was a shame to open it while it is keeping capes so nice.

I dunno how much market there might be for it. It's Harry and Hagrid and
a little stand and plaque. The printed box substitutes for building Bag number
21. It's at the very end of the instruction booklet.

I do get that it could open a big bag of worms with the other sealed and numbered
boxes. I just thought this one seems unique. Also, I hate when people list just
a small portion of a set like this as 'New, Incomplete.' Price guide
go boom.

I, for one, really appreciate the addition of the cardboard sleeves inventory,
as it is a good resource for confirming my store inventory.

Why can't you list it as an incomplete set? Other stores are still doing
it.

This is a part of the set (like any numbered bag from any other set), so it will
not get a separate catalog listing. If BrickLink will not allow such a small
part of the set to be listed under the set entry as "Incomplete", then you will
have to list it as a custom lot in your store.

Cheers,
Randy
