| Any friends in Hungary that can help.
Are there new CDC rules out of Hungary that would cause a seller to back out
of a sale that was quoted on and paid for to Canada?
Thank you

If the seller won't sell, just make sure you get a full refund. If needs
be, file a non shipping seller complaint until you get refunded.

Hello
What was the original message from seller? Why they can't send to you your
order?
Regards,
Kezany

I had also purchased from a seller in Hungary that backed out; they are someone
with 37 feedback (without naming them, just incase it's the same person).
I was a bit suspicious that they were selling goods they did not have because
after they cancelled, they pulled the few figures they were selling, but they
stated the same reason that they couldn't ship to Canada. They also tried
to do a refund as a separate PayPal payment in their currency rather than as
a refund on the original transaction. Eventually it got fixed up.

| Here is what the seller has said regarding this order.
"On the 19th of January 2022, the Hungarian Post posted the following:
"Because of the new COVID regulations (minimalized contact between workers,
and shorter working hours, there can be major delays in postal delivery times
and in the quality of the service"
).
Because there was no mention or even precedent of the possibility of the service
getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of postal sendage (especially not just
under half a week), I still took the order thinking "Oh, okay, I'll just
ship with insured, registered priority, and it shouldn't and won't be
an issue, especially when the sh-tshow just begun".
But after packaging your order and driving to the local post office, I was told
by the postal clerk that because of the new guidelines put in effect at the post
(those I referenced earlier), there is such a gigantic buildup in packages and
letters addressed outside of the EU (mostly North America and Asia) that it is
very likely that it would be delayed by 2 weeks at least (it'd take
5-10 days in normal times [https://www.posta.hu/static/internet/download/Kanada_2022.pdf]),
and there is a fat chance that a letter sized package would be lost.
We shouldn't (and I really don't want to) take any chances, because it
would be very unlucky to chase a lost package (even with registration and insurance)
(also the Hungarian Post is about as useful as a cup of gasoline to put a fire
out with, when looking for disappeared items).
The situation is so dire that I had to refund everyone affected (including You)
via PayPal and put shipping outside the EU to a halt altogether.
Sorry for any inconveniences caused.
Cheers,"
I have waited 3 months for orders to arrive so a few weeks would not be an issue
for me.
Seller did refund my payment and has yet to put the items back in their store.
The main item I bought was a new minifig that was the cheapest on the planet,
half price of the next cheapest available. Hmmm
Seller only has 2 positive feedback.
Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.... like cilantro.
Oh well.

If he's a new seller, it could just be that he didn't hit the right button,
when cancelling the order.
I've cancelled an order and forgot to hit the return to stock button.
That and I remember a glitch, where the parts were returned to stockroom A, but
not to the main inventory.

I can say from experience that delays into and out of certain countries have
been abysmal due to Covid. Also, US Postal to Australia has cut off all shipping
with the exception of the highest cost Priority Express International, so even
small orders will cost $75 USD to ship. This whole thing is going to get worse
too...
