Apparently no: TLG didn’t use them for the Sonic set that, apparently, uses a
ton of stacked 1x1s

Yeah, I'm baffled why they didn't use this for Sonic. Seems like a very
good opportunity wasted.

Agree, this would have been awesome for building and inventory of that set.
Over 200+ 1x1 plates in multiple colors included. Hopefully it will be more
widely used in the near future.
