Both hinges with hollow studs and clips with thick rings were produced since
1985.
The model sets
and
were produced since 1986 ONLY in the Netherlands (and Belgium?). It was only
in 1989 that they were sold in Germany and other European countries, and USA
and Canada.
I checked many used copies of these two sets and found only the later variants.
If the first variants of these two parts should be included, a reliable evidence
should come from the Netherlands or Belgium.
Also the box design and instructions were changed different for early copies
1986-1989 so that helped me to narrow down my search.
