| Currently, when an Administrator or a Moderator posts to the Forum, there is
no obvious way to tell if they are posting their own opinion as a member, or
if they are posting in their official capacity.
Please enhance the Forum so that Admins and Mods will have to specify if they
are posting officially, and to make that clear to the other members. If a post
if not marked as an official post, then they are posting as to their own personal
input/opinion. The two should be kept apart from one another.

Can you please refer to examples why you feel the need to make this suggestion?

People do often mix up Forum Moderators with Admins.
Discussions Moderator
Has the ability to ban members from the discussion forum and chat. Able to lock
threads and cancel messages posted in the discussion forum. Can edit Community
help topics. See https://www.bricklink.com/memberAdmins.asp?utm_content=subnav
Forum Moderators may freely moderate the Discussions Forum applying the Forum
Discussion rules:

Personally, I don't see the need for it as, to me, Forum Moderator posts
are clearly distinguishable from personal posts. If it was that much needed it
would have been already implemented years ago.
I also don't want to have to click an extra checkbox each time to post in
the forum, especially when navigating BL on my mobile phone.

Warum wollen Sie in BL mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon navigieren?

I don't think it is needed. Everything an admin posts using an admin account
is official and a statement on behalf of LEGO Bricklink. If they want to post
personal and unofficial statements then they should use a personal account.

I believe this suggestion is not only about “BL admins” but also about “member
admins” and was somehow started by this: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1306878
(If you read the answers, it seems this post was taken as an official statement….)

Is there an admin in that thread?
But following on from earlier, I'd say only statements from BL staff using
admin IDS are official.

Not that I know of but I noticed suggestions very often directly follow another
post about the same subject or with remarks very related to it and that’s the
last thread cosmicray intervened and where it seems she thought my pointing to
a message was a way to officially state the feature in question worked.
| But following on from earlier, I'd say only statements from BL staff using
admin IDS are official.
|
Well, I’d say that statements by catalogue and inventory admins in catalogue
topics or in response to inventory and catalogue requests are official.

Hmm, maybe they are not official but authoritative?
Or are they official by delegation?
Well, anyway I don’t see the need for the suggestion either.
