In my sealed copy, in addition to one cord and one white place
only these round 1x1 plats came as extra. The other parts in the inventory were
not included as extra.

Yeah some of those extras look a bit weird. Maybe I will have a closer look at
them later.
I have a few more questions:
- Was there a batch code on your box (i.e. on one of the seals)?
- Which 4085* clips came in your set (black & white)?
- Which window frame 2493* came in your set?
- 2412b (black, light gray and yellow) and 4285a (blue) are correct?
Thanks for your help with this set. I wish I had it myself, it's such a great
set.

No but a US catalog from 1992 was included in the box. I already disposed of
the box.

White ones are correct.
I am afraid I did not and cannot check the black ones.

Sometimes one part is lost but I find it later, like inside a bag, on the floor,...

Okay. Then your set is probably from mid/late 1992 as it already had the 1x1
round plates without sprues.

I think I will remove 2493 from the inventory. I have no idea about the timeline
for 2493a but it seems possible the set always came with that variant.
(In fact I didn't even know we have separate entries 2493/2493a until I discovered
them today in this inventory.
Maybe I have to check a set from my collection again for this variant.)

My bad. I didn't check the inventory before answering your question. I noted
there were one less than what inventory says. The quantity in the inventory is
10 so I got 9. I checked again my inventory and have 9 of them. Since I have
a list of sets I parted-out, I checked them and never got any before and also
checked I did not sell any to anybody. So the correct quantity is 9.

but got 10 from previous parted-out sets. So this is another confirmation I got
2 of them with my 6542.

The inventory at Peeron mentions the extra 1x6 plate as well, so it was definitely
included in many (maybe all) copies of the set.
I also thought it could have been included to build an alternate model but this
is hard to verify without having the box in hand. And there are lots of red plates
in the set so I wonder if that 1x6 plate was really necessary for an alternate
model.

There are two extra
in
I tried to find out in which of the alternate models they could have been used
but there are about 10 models and I could not find them used anywhere.
