Odd colourful fungal growth on willow stump.

Had to stop myself comparing colours with those used by Lego.

Anyone know what fungus ?

As a mushroom fan I would say don't eat it, not familiar with it but after
quick google I think it might be

Thanks.

I’ve always been interested fungus, some amazing shapes, colours, textures and
smells.

Found some deadly ones in the past and am never tempted to eat any of them I
find, too dangerous .

Just my luck to choose a destroying angel.

However I have eaten wild field mushrooms picked for me, enjoyed those and tried
a young puffball of a good size, not a fan.

I love puffballs, have you baked them or eaten fresh?

But yes, mushrooms can be tricky be safe.

Tis the season!
The last time I did mushies I tore a complete wall out of my house, and It did
nothing but motivate me. I guess it depends on your headspace at the time of
consumption - whatever that means!@#$

I’m not in my early years anymore and there’s a chance I might start doing a
few strange things without the help of chemical influences.

You will only think at the level you're capable of. Age is not an inhibitor!
You would easily accomplish your plumbing needs in an afternoon without any ill-affects.
Ya just need a spotter to tell you that you're being a tool! Lol
How old are ya?

Mental age in my 20’s for much of the time, birth age 62 but body at the moment
suggest 70’s.

I love LEGO, and everything entailed with it!
Pharmaceuticals will do you far more harm.
Do you have any nice LEGO pictures to show us? Please...
I'm 47 currently - I'm starting to feel it, but I'm pushing back.
Eat heaps of fish and field mushies. They'll lube ya up.

I’ve been a collector of Unusual Lego, it’s forerunner ( Kiddicraft ) and like
to keep reference items for other brands.

Have many sets including all Futuron and like to build these when I find time,
especially the Monorail 6990.

Set No: 6990 Name: Futuron Monorail Transport System
*
6990-1 (Inv) Futuron Monorail Transport System
692 Parts, 5 Minifigures, 1987
Sets: Space: Futuron

The only photo’s I really have now are these :

You're amazing! I had a quick squizz at your Flickr - those sideways printed
bricks are frickin' awesome!
And now, more people can peruse your efforts at their leisure.
I think you're a valueable resource - obviously.
How long would it take me to go through all ya Flickr. Lol
I'll have a more indepth look later

Not sure how long it would take, not too long if you just check out the pics
but if you open each one you’ll see many a discussion on these items.

There are a number of others that do the same and much more, just check out the
other posters, that’ll keep you going for months.

Stop mouffing off. I'm not sure what to think of all of that precisely
I grew up on Classic Space.
Futuron rail will be re-printed eventually - I feel that in me loins!
I am also not sure which side I'm on - Fururon or Blacktron

Standard sets had minifigs with trans dark blue visors.
Dacta futuron had one with trans light blue and another set had one with trans

I have mainly new and used parts, a few other items but far more to come in
2022.

I’m relocating at the moment and everything is packed away, I cannot get to anything
and cannot fill any orders at all, just not possible.

I could give you a password to take a look but only on the understanding that
an order is not possible, hope you understand.

Found some deadly ones in the past and am never tempted to eat any of them I

Just my luck to choose a destroying angel.

However I have eaten wild field mushrooms picked for me, enjoyed those and tried

I love puffballs, have you baked them or eaten fresh?

But yes, mushrooms can be tricky be safe.

I would love a quick squizz in your shop!
I also don't mind if it doesn't happen.

What've you got for sale inside your locked shop exactly?
I wouldn't mind a quick look in there. Even if that's all it was.

In Off Topic, Stuart9 writes:
Not sure how long it would take, not too long if you just check out the pics
but if you open each one you’ll see many a discussion on these items.

There are a number of others that do the same and much more, just check out the
other posters, that’ll keep you going for months.

And now, more people can peruse your efforts at their leisure.
I think you're a valueable resource - obviously.
How long would it take me to go through all ya Flickr. Lol
I'll have a more indepth look later

The most amazing one I had was the one used for my store picture and should be

I’ve since sold that one, however the one you refer to is also a beauty, I have

The exceptional items like the one I used for my store photo do sell for very
high prices, the main interest in something like this is from 2 x 4 3001/3001old
collectors although this is neither as it’s from the classic range, known as
slotted bricks.

Hopefully I will have a much bigger range again sometime in early 2022, both
vintage and modern, new and used.

Plans to double in size at that point, fingers crossed, I have the stock and
just need time to recheck counts of existing stock and manually add new stock.

I will have a lot of 2 x 4 test bricks and slotted bricks, windows and doors
in different sizes to list.

If you like the corner 4 x 4’s, I have some variations of these to list.

high prices, the main interest in something like this is from 2 x 4 3001/3001old
collectors although this is neither as it’s from the classic range, known as
slotted bricks.

For that mould It was 4 as the F1 - F4 suggests.

Not all we’re marbled, some came in single colours.

I lose track but they do exist individually in both red and yellow.

I only ask, because the number seems limiting considering the energy placed into
producing four two cent parts at a time. Weird...

It wasn’t a production mould, it was only meant for test bricks.

The workforce decided to make marbled bricks and when Lego found out they withdrew
the mould from the test company.

Did other companies have a similar test mould of only a four at a time print?
I only know of Bayer and BASF...

I think the Wrexham test site may have had one but not sure, others will probably
correct me on that one.

We have found that Lego has used many different size moulds over the years for
both test and production bricks.

The standard ones will be from Denmark and North America ( Samsonite ).

Not sure for those with hollow studs ( hollow underneath )

The slotted I believe are from Sweden, Norway and Denmark

Plans to move to Cornwall in the U.K. if it works out, can’t find much of interest
left in my price range, don’t want and probably can’t get a mortgage at my age.

Everyone and his dog is moving there at the moment, buying second homes or buying
to let, grabbing everything within hours of them being listed.

We have found that Lego has used many different size moulds over the years for

The exceptional items like the one I used for my store photo do sell for very

If we all look out for our own part of the planet it’s a start.

The best authorities on these are on Flickr, check out WRMe2 ( I think that’s
right, name is Wouter ), Bendix ( Beryll ) and never forget Maxx.

I’ll check the details of their Flickr names and let you know, haven’t used them

There are others and I apologise to anyone I’ve not listed or I’ve misspelt,
I’m doing this from a very overloaded memory at the moment.

If in doubt of sites or names just check out replies to my photo’s and you’ll

The exceptional items like the one I used for my store photo do sell for very
high prices, the main interest in something like this is from 2 x 4 3001/3001old
collectors although this is neither as it’s from the classic range, known as
slotted bricks.

Tried frying them like field or cultivated mushrooms in thin slices only, not
sure how they are best prepared.

Not keen but that may have been me worrying that I’d got it wrong and I might
make myself ill, perhaps it just wasn’t the best method.

I’ve read that only young ones are edible and if they have started to yellow
then it can make some people feel sick.

Older ones that have changed in the centre beyond yellow are inedible I believe.

New photo 1, same fungus an hour and a half later, still some pink far left.

New photo 2, same fungus 3 hours later.

Almost as black as soot all over.

Hard to see in the pic, but it looks to be a mold of some type, which are multicellular,
filamentous fungi. Heads up, there is a pink mold looking bacteria that grows
on wood in moist conditions as well. But you already seem to be aware of being
careful about such things.

It is interesting, whatever it turns out to be. Thanks for sharing.

Read many an article on those who thought they knew and ended up killing themselves,
others or needing transplants, not worth the risk.

The destroying angel being a terrible way to go.

The destroying angel being a terrible way to go.

It reminds me of the joke:

A compasionate mortician talks to a lady burying her husband and learns it’s
the third one.
— Oh, that’s terrible, and they all died?
— Yes, the first one died of mushroom poisining.
— Terrible, terrible.  And the second one?
— Mushroom poisoning too.
— Oh my, oh my.  And this one too?
— No, this one fell in the stairs… He didn’t like mushrooms.
