Hi

I'm relocating over the next 2 weeks and to avoid customer disappointment
with slow turn arounds I've closed my store temporarily and set the password
option.

I thought I'd go check/test it to make sure it works and I can't see
any option to enter the password to go and browse/shop.
More worryingly if I try searching for my store name then nothing comes up at
all in this closed option.

Am I doing something wrong or is there yet another flaw in the system?

Thanks for any help!

Maybe you're too early, there are 20 minutes left for shopping, but 0 items
are shown.

So there is a time delay before it shows? With 54,000+ items in the inventory
the 0 bit worried me!

I'll check back. Never had to use this function before so very new to me.

Thank you

If you're relocating - personally I think you should close and stay closed
until you are ready to pull orders again.

Despite you putting messages up and trying to avoid disappointed buyers they
have a habit of ignoring these sorts of messages.

Also there's a chance something may not quite go to plan with something and
it being longer then the 2 weeks you expect. Best to close until you are ready
again.

Just my opinion but I've made the mistake of opening too early after a move!!

Also, inventory might get lost in transit. I wouldn't re-open until I'm
sure all the inventory made it to the new location safe and sound.
