| Hi all
I got an interesting order, a customer who only wants feedback, not that actually
1 cent part that he ordered.
I can just send an invoice of 1 USD/EUR and get the money and post feedback.
But what do people think about this behavior?

In my view, FB was supposed to be incidental to the transaction, not the objective
of the transaction. I am aware of the existence of NFTs (which cause me to SMH).
Is this the beginning an a BrickLink NFT market ?

Non-fungible token.
People buy a token (a bit of data) that’s put in a public cryptographic ledger
(blockchain), that token says they are the propietor of a digital thing (image,
video, URL…) that’s supposed¹ to be original and unique.
(¹ It’s digital, anybody that can access it (see…) can keep a copy… but even
if that copy is indistinguishable from the original, it’s not the same, somehow.)
IOW, a new scam / money laundering scheme.

| A Non Fungible Token, a form of cryptocurrency that isn't a denomination
of a currency, it represents a unique virtual property that can only be sold
whole. Rae was equating feedback buying to NFT trading, although individual feedbacks
can't be traded between accounts, each BrickLink account is free to issue
as many feedbacks as they want to other accounts.

To have at least 1 feedback is a New Seller Verification requirement.
Is it a 0 feedback buyer?

I also suspect it might have to do with that - in that case, I wouldn't do
it, since the rule is there to make it more difficult for scammers to get a seller
account, and to teach prospective sellers how the system works before they start
selling. Both are important points imho.

Because if the prospective seller sees nothing wrong with doing this, that might
become part of their business model ... selling feedback to other prospective
sellers.
It breaks the chain of trust.

| What choice do you have? If you cancel the order, you are risking neutral/negative
feedback.
The buyer likely was trying to makem your life easier by asking that the piece
not be sent. If instead the buyer stayed silent and you mailed the order he would
get positive feedback anyway.
You can always mail the order as you would with any other order.
Not sure why at least 1 positive feedback is still even required with the much
more stringent new seller verification requirements.

| I think you should carry on with the order as usual, feedback is meant to publicly
comment on people’s behavior, so if they behave as a normal buyer would for this
order beyond the unusual side request, they will have rightfully earned their
feedback.

| I don't think this is in the spirit of BL or the rules. FB may reinforce
the act of transacting on BL, but it is not the purpose.
Also, FB is really meant to be a reflection of the transaction as a whole.
