| I got question: Should I be worried when a shop closed on 31st of may with no
end date to be seen but ordered and payed on the 28th of may? The status of my
order has not changed from "ready" for a week now. And my message I sent still
says "no" where you can see if it has been read.
I ordered multiple times from this shop and had no problem at all, very good
experiences even.
Am i just worried for nothing? Maybe just on an holiday. But I saw in the past
shops announce the weeks they are gone.
Greetings,

| I would not be worried. Some sellers do this as a hobby and not as a full time
job and therefor may be taking a vacation/holiday. If you have had positive
experiences with this seller in the past, then I would say be patient, even though
I know that is hard to do when I buy my Lego!
As for the message showing no on read, that is only no that they have not read
it on Bricklink, not that they have not read it in their e-mail program, which
is quite possible that they have indeed read it. I would again be patient and
reach out to them again after a week to 10 days. If you do not hear anything
back then, you can always wait more or file a non shipping seller (NSS) report.
I hope you get your order soon. Good Luck.

| Some sellers also close their storefront temporarily to give them some time to
process outstanding orders. It is frustrating when there's no precise store
closure reason stated but I wouldn't be worried about it.
Just go with the normal order processing time (7 days) before you are allowed
to file an NSS alert if you still haven't heard back from them by then.

and some sellers, increase their minimum order size in order to throttle back
orders, without closing their store. Personally speaking, I will not close my
store unless I expect to be non-responsive, but I will raise my minimum to dizzingly
high numbers.

| This is a good idea as well, not as radical as the store opening switch but it
could still raise a couple eyebrows since the minimum order size increase doesn't
have a "reason" field attached to it.
I still like the idea that there is more than one way to skin this particular
cat.
