when double checking via details the torso in details has two buttonholes and
the V neck is lower on the torso. Confused.

This guy seems to have your version: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=cty1217#T=P
Either they changed it at some points or we're talking about two different
versions that are not catalogued properly

Is yours dual-sided?

Your are right. There are also different PCCs for these:
https://brickset.com/parts/4586882
https://brickset.com/parts/6283889
I have moved this topic to catalog requests to let the catalog admins decide
if the new variant should have its own entry.

Please submit this torso to the catalog with an image that shows both the front
side and back side of the torso. Once it is in the catalog, we can fix the PCCs
and minifigure inventories.

The original entry should have been split and marked for deletion.

This can still be fixed and should be.
In case people are curious, the variant came out long enough ago that sellers
may have the newer part mixed up with the original. Two new entries are necessary
to make sure they don't sell the wrong one unawares.

Sorry that it took a while to address this.
In theory we could split several minifigures which include the torso - but that
was not done in the past in similar cases and we decided to not split anything
here as it is only a minior print variation and not a functional difference (and
as we can see from other parts many sellers do not care about such variants and
don't adjust their store inventories when a part is marked for deletion).
However, about one month ago I informed all sellers who parted out
and did not use the minifigure entry about the issue and the new catalog
entry. So there should not be any wrong listing from that set anymore. I think
this is sufficient here.
