Can you post an image of where this number is on the packaging? I have a feeling
that this is a number for the entire package with brick and not just the brick.

"Package" is a strong word for a generic press-seal bag and a slip of paper.
I don't think the 100100426 refers to the paper (which differs from brick
to brick with the item number and the week/year/line of manufacture), and it
certainly doesn't refer to the bag.

Item numbers are usually included on set packages to represent the physical packing
materials and all of the contents within them. Basically, they can be seen as
"alternate" numbers for the set numbers, and not what is *within* the sets.
In this case, the number most likely refers to the entire "set" as a whole which
includes the packing materials (the press-seal envelope and the slip of paper)
*and* the actual brick. Therefore, I do not think it should be added as an alternate
item number to the brick itself.
OT:
This bagged brick could technically be entered as a set in the catalog that includes
a one brick inventory, such as something like
If this bagged brick "set" were in the catalog, then it would most likely use
the item number you are speaking about as the set number.
Cheers,
Randy
