I noticed on several of my orders that while the sales tax on the order information
page says "Texas Sales Tax", the rate is higher than the maximum Texas sales
tax including all applicable local taxes. The effective tax charged approaches
1% too much. If the intent is to charge only state sales tax (excluding county
and city), then the charges approach a 3% overage.

Is this a mistake or if not, what is the rationale for the overcharge?

Do you know if Texas sales tax applies to shipping as well? You might be using
he wrong order total (with shipping vs without) to recalculate the sales tax.

The sales tax does indeed differ according to county/municipality.

It doesn't seem to be relevant to this Buyer account who's likely receiving
all their order at the same address, though.

Ah - then I'll just note that the BL sales tax includes all applicable sales
taxes, including county/municipality.

And Texas does levy sales taxes on shipping and delivery:

Thanks, I believe this explains the discrepancies that rocket951 reported.

Indeed that does. Thank you that explains why the rate looked different for different
orders. I suppose I've become so used to free shipping from the LEGO site
that I forgot about including it.
