| Hello - I am looking for advice on how to handle this situation:
I purchase a couple parts from a store with 10k+ feedback. When they arrived,
one of the items they sent me was incorrect. To see what the next steps might
be to resolve this, I:
1. Emailed them back, outlined the issue
2. Sent same email through brinklink (this one was sent Apr. 16th)
No response.
Here is what I sent them:
"Hello!
The bricks arrived today. All looks good except the white bricks are incorrect
size.
I ordered: White, Brick 2 x 4 (70 units)
You sent: White, Brick 2 x 6 (70 units)
Let me know what can be done. "

When the seller does not respond, generally the next step is to file a non-shipping
seller alert (NSS). You can do that here: https://www.bricklink.com/retract.asp

Alternatively, if you don't want to go the NSS route, you could simply leave
neutral or negative feedback and that should get the seller's attention.

I would definitely start the NSS before leaving neutral or negative feedback.

|
| Okay, so NSS is a better next step than negative/neutral feedback?
(I want to do the less-bad-for-seller next step. Mainly to just start a conversation
towards resolving this.)

|
| The only rule is that the NSS must be filed at least 7 days after the order,
so we're well beyond this and you should file it.

Leaving feedback is not typically seen as starting a conversation. So yes, NSS
is the less drastic step.

| Sorry about that, in my last batch of orders, I got several where a part was
missing/the wrong color/the wrong mold/broken and all the sellers have been reactive
and either refunded or resend the parts.
The NSS feature is intended when no communication is possible in a reasonable
time frame.

| My direct email was sent: 04/11
My email through bricklink was sent: 06/16
I don't know what a reasonable amount of time is for this group, as I am
new.

It is polite to allow sellers a few days to respond to messages, but a couple
of weeks without a response is unusual. I think you are justified in opening
an NSS.

1 did you pay using paypal if so start a full refund case,
2 start nss
3send last email to seller, telling them that due to there mistake you are asking
for full refund ,and will return the order

That's a very drastic advice if the rest of the order was delivered.

| Send another follow up email through BL and remind them that they sent you 70
bricks that are not the right size so they should also check their inventory
for this error.
If no reply in a week, check if they are leaving feedback for others during this
time. If they are, they are definitely online so leave them some negative feedback
but don't be rude about it. Something along the lines of 2x4 bricks orders,
2x6 bricks received. No communication from seller.
That should grab their attention.
