I apologize if this is a newbie question, but I linked an MOC and need 3200+
parts to build it.

My question is:

I want to divert as much of the parts to my "favorite" vendors, and override
the recommendations for lots to buy.

IF I buy some of the lots from the "wanted list" from one vendor, does the "wanted
list" know that I bought those, and self adjust, and consider those parts bought,
and drop me then to the remaining parts?

I know it is a stupid question, but it is like, $300+ in parts, and I don't
want to mess it up!

Thanks for any advice.

You can sort favorite stores on top in the settings.

No the system doesn't know what pieces are bought.

This is achievable, but with high care

The buy.page does it for you:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page
When you have choosen the parts in a store (a favorite of yours) and click "Confirm
selection". have you noticed that store goes on the top?
The buy.page updates for a second... and NOW SEARCHES ONLY FOR REMAINING PARTS,
excluding what you choose for your first store.
You can do it for every next favorite store, every time the buy.page updates
and searches for what remains to buy.

Be careful:
1) Do it in one big effort keeping the buy.page open, or you lose it all.
Don't leave now. If you close the page, or close the browser, or close the
computer, memory is lost. You'll restart from scratch everyday.

2) the blue button Create Carts is NOT A SAVE BUTTON.
It DOES NOT SAVE the buy.page, does the opposite, closes that page, and send
you toward the global cart.
Maybe you want to come back to continue fiddling with part quanttity, BAD IDEA!
buy.page restarts fro scratch after Create Carts, Searching ALL PARTS again,
and doesn't care at all you have put them in the carts.
So back to my suggestion 1: do it all at once, keeping buy.page open.
When you are totally sure there's nothing left to do in buy.page, click CREATE
CARTS and go on without looking back.

Thanks all for the information. I'll give it a try...and printing the entire
wanted list just to be sure I can mark things off manually while using the system
the first time.

Best to all

You can apply the order to the wanted list once it's placed.
