In CatalogueList Animal, Water (https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=P&catString=145
), there are several minecraft animals, such as minedolphin01, mineguardian01,
mineguardian02, mineturtle1, but they have different characteristics from parts,
that is, they are some kind of minifigures not parts.

Almost all the part are inseparable, but the minecraft water animals are built
from several bricks. The item description says they are appeared in some sets
(for example, the mineturtle1 is appeared in 21152-1), but they are not in the
sets, only the parts of the animal appears. I think that is not good for inventory
management.

In case of minecraft iron golem (min082, min093), they are minifigures, not parts.
I think the two groups is very similar in nature. So all of the minecraft water
animals should be moved from parts to minifigures. Then, the minecraft sets management
will be more consistent, I believe.

Thank you for reading.

Animals vs minifigures is a real mess for what gets included. Not just in Minecraft
but across all themes.

It happens in other animals sections too, air for example ...

Part No: smaug01 Name: Dragon, The Hobbit (Smaug)
*
smaug01 (Inv) Dragon, The Hobbit (Smaug)
Parts: Animal, Air

As the animals section exists, they put animals in there. So Scooby Doo, Smaug,
Santa's Little Helper, Snowball II (all named characters) plus other more
generic ones such as the Minecraft animals, the snail from the LEGO Movie, and
so on. Whether they are single pieces or large assemblies those animals go into
the relevant animals location. Yet Unikitty and the other animals from that series,
they go into Minifigures. I can understand un-named animals going into an animals
section, but not for named animal characters.

There is even a tea cup that also goes into minifigures, even though there is
a category for minifigure utensils where it should go with the other tea-cups
with or without faces (like there is an animals category for animals).

[p=38014pb01]

And that is without even starting with the trains, cars, steamrollers, and all
those other vehicles that are minifigures even though there are dedicated sections
for trains and vehicles.

It is not clear why (named) licensed animals are treated in such a different
way to licensed vehicles and tea cups and wardrobes.
