| I am currently buying more parts then I need, any suggestions on a way of keeping
track of my extra parts I have so I will stop buying parts that I have already
own?

One way would be to upgrade to a seller account: https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2440
That way you can add the extra parts to your inventory, then do a simple search
to see which parts in your inventory are on your Wanted List. However, seller
verification can take a while, and you will need to add/delete parts manually.
Other websites such as BrickSet and Rebrickable may have tools that allow you
to do similar things, but I have not used those.

| You're basically asking to have a "negative" wantlist: when you're buying
X bricks, but have Y of them, you'll like to buy just (X-Y).
Kinda of selecting 2 wantlists in "Buy" page, but the second substracts from
the first.
Or applying a wantlist on another list, to raise the qty on the items or, as
in your case, having negatives in mind, you'll diminish the qty.
I haven't found a way to do that in months... so probably it doesnt exist
at all.
