The variant with open stud was introduced in 1977 (as far as I can tell).
I found them myself in many homemaker and town sets.
4 years seems to be a long time for TLG to use old types.
Based on that I would like to approve this request.
Most inventories of sets from the 80's with 3062a are based on an unknown
source and have 3062b as alternate. I always wondered if these sets ever came
with the old variant.
But you confirmed the accuracy of this set's inventory, based on sealed set
contents on August 2, 2020. Including the 3062a you want to delete now.
So now I am still confused about all these sets from the 80's.
I hope you still have that set, so you can double check.
The image you added from a catalog, doesn't help much.
in transparent red and transparent yellow. Knowing that they are rare in these
colors, I can believe them. But this set was produced in the US.

I sold my set but it was an opened box and came with
[P=3062b,11]
because it was a later production of this set anyway as the hinges had hollow
studs.
At the time I confirmed accuracy, the option "new in opened box" did not exist.
But this does not matter for my copy.
I am trying to prove that the box art and instructions show the hollow stud version
so we can be confident this set never came with solid stud round bricks.
