I did not miss any match. Why did you change the match ids of level crossings
to 99?!

I did not miss any match. Why did you change the match ids of level crossings
to 99?!

After approving all your requests (2 threads), the inventory was left with

Match id 2 battery box: Regular and Alternate
Match id 3 loco wheels: Regular
Match id 7 level crossing: Regular and Alternate
Match id 88 black plates: Alternate
Match id 99: your (approved) changes

Although it's incorrect that you did not miss any match, this reply is not
about who is right or wrong (you can check it by viewing the log). But I would
like to ask you to be more accurate the next time and also to try to keep all
in 1 thread. With your experience, you know that a Match-id number has to match
an alternate part with a regular part, and that the nrs have to start with Match
ID nr 1, etc, with the only exception of Match-id 99 for redesigned sets.

Checking incomplete change requests are taking a lot of time and in this case
I had to add about as many change requests as you did. I would rather spend this
extra time to handle a next change request.

About the Level Crossings:
I'm pretty sure the alternate level crossing was released in 1969 (together
with the introduction of 12V trains).

In your request below you wanted to add 103-1 parts to this set and all sets
starting 1969. The images of the Japanese set you added later (as proof for the
103-1 parts) also has this level crossing.
https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=285009&nID=1256259

So imo all alternate items came in the redesigned set and therefor I also changed
the level crossings to match-id 99.

Now I realize that the instructions only show the build of the train, not the
tracks and track related items. But the fact that the level crossing is not motor
related (like you said in another thread), doesn't mean it can't have
match-id 99 and that TLG didn't show tracks etc. in the building instructions,
doesn't mean it didn't come with the redesigned set.

I opened a thread about this on the admin forum, waiting for the outcome.
So your new change request has to wait.

Diana

PS for replies about the 103-1 items, please only use the thread mentioned above.

The box art of the first box version

Set No: 158 Name: Railroad Crossing Gate

158-1 (Inv) Railroad Crossing Gate
8 Parts, 1969
Sets: Train: Supplemental: 4.5V

from 1969 shows

Part No: 813a Name: Train Level Crossing Base - Solid Center
*
813a Train Level Crossing Base - Solid Center

see attached. I have this box and checked it.

The production date of its motor is (I think) 68 8 so 1968 the 8th month.
It is possible that in the very first production runs, 813a were in stock and
was used for 119, also for 158.
I found 4 photos that I had sent to Randy.
In one photo, you can see all extra parts inside the box.
I think The set was missing only 1-2 parts (like one 1x1 brick or something similar)

Now I realize that the instructions only show the build of the train, not the

I only have 2 or 3 sets of photos of used 119 but for now, that laptop is
broken and I have to recover the hard-disk drive. It is not likely any of them
was a copy from early 1969 though.
