Pics following.
I had checked this set a few months ago for undetermined parts, but this time I looked a bit closer for all possible variants.
Notes:
- My set has 3747a and 3747b and also the light gray plate which is already included in the alternate items section.
- It looks like some copies came with 1x
(see https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1856227 ) and others, like mine, came with 2x
instead, so maybe one yellow rubber band should be an "alternate extra" part?

| The alternates showing
instead of
and
instead of
makes me suspicious of a redesign at some point.

My set has these alternate parts in both colors, but I'm not sure if it is
really a redesign - I think I would rather call it a (temporary?) parts substitution.
The alternate parts are shown on an additional leaflet. There are other sets
from that time (around 2005/2006) with similiar "redesigns" which I guess where
not made to improve anything but just because the correct parts were not in stock
for some time. Maybe this had something to do with the outsourcing project.

According to our guidelines, this is in fact a redesign. See
and its inventory note as just one example of this.

Ah okay, I didn't know there are already precedents for this in the catalog.
