I just received an email stating that a buyer had filed an NSS against me. Of
course it's blatantly dishonest since he messaged me yesterday stating that
I had forgot a 3 cent part in an 80 lot order. Said he was fine with a .40 cent
refund. So I gave him the .40 cent refund. Then he proceeded to mark the order
as complete, leave a neutral, and file an nss. But I can't find where to
reply to this nss. I just have the email from Bricklink but don't see anywhere
on bricklink to reply to this blatant dishonesty. Any help would be much appreciated.

What does the order status state? If the status is completed, then I think the
NSS would have been canceled.

The order status says completed. But he marked it completed even before I he
filed the nss. Shouldn't there be some sort of follow up from Bricklink with
an email saying the nss has been removed.

Nope, up to 7 days after the buyer marks as complete, the buyer can still file
an NSS. All part of the wonderful way in which BL has changed the order status
settings to better accommodate expee.

The reply is by clicking on "report problem" on the order detail page.

Also, attempt to contact the helpdesk to assist by sending proof of the refund,
even though you might have used the BL refund feature.

Perhaps never 7 days after complete? i had one careless buyer who did not ask
for tracking when he ordered on 9th Sept lost it his package. I had no communication
from him and I marked it complete in 1st October which I always change to complete
2 weeks for UK and 1 month for abroad without issue. He filed NSS which was
not expected when it been completed status for nearly 2 months. I had to refund
him and told him off that he must ask for tracking so any sellers won't lose
the Lego and money. Because of the refund being made I was not able to cancel
the completed order so the fee for that order had been paid out and no refund
for that.

That was your setting to complete as seller - the buyer does that independently
of you, which is why you must not set it as such. Keep it in shipped status especially
for exports.

There supposed to be a Problem Details link on the Order Details page or in the

I clicked on the "report a problem" link on the order page. Said at the bottom
that an nss had been initiated and then at the top it says the nss is no longer
in effect and the order was set back to normal. So does this mean everything
is good on my end. Cause I never responded or did anything about it. Is it because
the buyer marked the order as completed?

I'm not sure, but if you have an NPB and you change the setting to shipped
or ready, it automatically cancels the NPB with no notice to any party. It might
very well be that a similar situation exists for the NSS, in that the buyer started
the NSS and then set the order to complete, thereby cancelling out the NSS automatically.

Isn't there supposed to be something on Bricklink that alerts the seller
to an NSS? I saw the email when I wasn't home. But when I got home I didn't
see anything on Bricklink alerting me to the NSS. I don't really check my
email very much. So shouldn't there be something on Bricklink alerting me
to it. I mean I wouldn't go looking for an nss that I didn't know existed.
And if Bricklink did take care of the nss between the time it was filed and I
got home to check Bricklink, shouldn't they have sent a message alerting
me of that?

From what I remember from the last fraudulent claim, there is an alert on your"MY
Bl" page as well if there is an active one. I think it is a red box with "you
have x orders in NSS status" and link to click.

That's what I thought too. Maybe it was already taken care of before I got
home. I guess a little communication would have been helpful in avoiding this
confusion.

That's pretty poor behaviour from the buyer. If they suggest and/or agree
a resolution after a problem, they should not then be doing NSS claims. I guess
just forward messages in the NSS reply.
