Hello.
I'm am fairly new to using Brick-link, and made a pretty big order today.
How much time does it usually take for a seller to confirm an order after payment
has been sent?
My question is meant for sellers and buyers as one

Thanks.

Some people do this as a full time job and other as just a side business. Most
of the time sellers have something in their "Terms" that not potential shipping
estimates, but for sure I would wait at least the next day. Depending on how
"large" your order is and how busy the store is, you could easily see 3-4 days
before shipping.

Just keep in mind that everyone here is doing their own thing, so 1 might be
slower and others might be able to process same day. As a matter of fact, I
just placed 4 orders last week (Monday-ish) and they all shipped different days
last week (all the way till Saturday as one store only ships once a week).

Hi, I am also new to this website and just placed two orders. From my experience,
there is no notification of "confirmation", but the items I ordered were all
shipped one day after I paid. The process is like: Seller sends invoice - You
pay - Receipt from Paypal - Shipping info. The time to shipping should be quick
but also depends on sellers (Sometimes they state the frequency they ship in
the Terms). You said you made a pretty big order, then it might take more time.
Perhaps you can reach out to the seller to confirm.

Do you mean by 'confirming' changing the order status to processing?
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=41
For instant payment order the order status changes to ready automatically.

If the order status is still pending after a few days after your payment you
should contact the seller.

I guess I just didn't understand how the order process works on brick-link.
I meant to ask usually how much time does it take to the seller to change the
order status to packed after the order process is already on paid.

I have made a few small orders previously on Bricklink with no issues. Just made
a fairly large order and I have been having difficulties getting a response from
the seller. Payment was made a week ago and I was told the items will be packed
and sent on Mon. I have checked the terms but it does not mentioned anything
about frequency of shipping (for e.g. one a week etc). Now starting to get worried.
Any advice?

Lack of communication is unfortunately a contagious disease.

But what is “fairly large”?
And is the seller experienced (how long on the site, how many feedbacks)?

Fairly large as in a few hundred Euros. Seller has about 49 feedbacks (3 as seller)
and been on the site since 2009.

So they are both new to selling and not pro.  Maybe they even just started selling
their own collection?

Anyway, yes, it’s a bit slow but not something to worry about yet.  I’d give
them till Tuesday morning and message them again or start an NSS.

Thank you very much SylvainLS.
I will take your advice and wait till Tues morning to start an NSS. Will message
them in the meantime.

Check your email spam folder for an email from @Bricklink.com or the seller.

Sometimes sellers ship but forget to change the order status to shipped.

There are many workflow variations possible. Some mark an order as shipped when
packed, but not physically shipped.
After a week I would expect a reply from the seller.

After 7 days you can start a NSS to get attention by clicking on the Problem
link on the Order Details page.

I have look at my Spam folder but didn't find anything. I also send emails
to the seller but there was no response. Will take your advice and wait till
early next week before starting the NSS.

Thanks
