Comments from Submitter:
I have a sad story. I bought a lot on eBay that had two of this set, purported to be sealed. They WERE sealed, but evidence has mounted that they weren't always sealed after leaving the factory. These sets have bags inside, but also a number of parts not in bags and the window is glued on. It seems apparent to me that the windows had been off and reglued because one was missing a tree and the other was missing a blue maxifig and I think we can be confident that was no legit variant. So I am not going to verify the inventory and I have to refrain from some requests that I cannot be confident about. I WOULD beseech inventory admins to look for evidence that there was only 1 tree in the set. I only got 1 total, but no box art shows two. My maxi figure hands were all hexagonal holes, but they were not in bags.
-For the white 1x2 and 2x2 bricks you can't exactly count them individually in my sealed pic, but you can see that there are 12 pieces that are one or the other and the inventory only shows 8. I got 6 of each from each set.
-White 2x4, my pic doesn't show 16, but you can definitely see 12-13. Inventory shows 10. There were 16.
- The hitch is that this set was already over part count and I am pushing it 12 higher. One of mine was missing the front flap, but one of them has it and it says 185 parts. My requests bring it to 205. 14 of that can be accounted for by counting the maxi figure assembly as one. A 15th could be that the inventory shows too many trees.

The counts for the big figures always counted all the parts separately, even
though they were assembled:

1 head
1 torso
2 shoulders (some figures did not come with these)
2 forearms
2 hands

for Canadian figures, the torso was split into 4 parts:

1 torso top
1 torso bottom
2 arm joints

Each of these was counted as a "part" in part counts printed on Canadian boxes.

Did you get a catalog in the set?

Should we add catalog items for pre-assemblies as they appear in the original
pacakging? Seems the head and arms were assembled to torso.

I am keeping the assemblies, so I will stand ready to do so. In another thread,
Russell said it was something they could discuss.

The image on both sides of the box shows two trees.

I am still not certain whether the set came with one or two trees, though.

Just checked some photos. I think one tree is correct.

Thanks, Reza. I hadn't had time to search WorthPoint, yet. I was definitely
leaning towards one myself after an initial look. I think the images you found
as well as Jon's sets are enough to make the change to one tree from two.
(This puts the set part count at 204, which is one more than the "203 interlocking
pieces" printed on some of the boxes of 112.)

Cheers,
Randy
