#1. Not sure I have this post in the right forum but it concerns my inventory
so I took a chance.

Is anyone else having trouble with missing inventory? Not sure if it's the
latest BrickLink update or a glitch in the system somewhere BUT I've had
so much inventory disappear that I closed my store to verify it.

So far, and I'm only done verifying two colors, I've had to re-add about
a fifth of my pieces back into my inventory. I have the pieces but they disappeared
from my BrickLink inventory and I would love it if someone could explain HOW
that happens, and IF the problem will be fixed! Also, have had to delete those
pieces I've already sold that somehow showed back up in the system.

This is the 2nd time in the last few months I've had to go back and re-add
or delete inventory that got dropped or reappeared (and it's a pain!!).

I have had this a few times, but still relatively new so could be me making a
mistake. I did the same and did a full stock take, and since then no further
issues.

Parts added to store in 2020 so far: 123,346

How it happens is that you probably made some mistakes. Simplest solution is
usually the correct one. I see nothing that needs to be corrected from my end.

I could see miscounting with one or two pieces but when entire sections of my
inventory disappears?! For instance, I just verified my used Dark Pink and not
ONE of my bricks is showing up in BrickLink and I have a few hundred that I added
months ago! THAT is not a human mistake, that is a glitch in the system.

I know that this seems frustrating, but, believe me, if BL were deleting entire
sections of seller's inventories, there would be an uprising. I've been
selling for nine years with no major inventory problems.

Are you using any third party syncing software?

Do you use Stockrooms when uploading your parts?

Do you save back-ups of your inventory?

What method are you using to upload and confirm when you add inventory?

Start here and maybe we can help you figure out what happened...

Let's see:
No third-party syncing software
Do not use Stockrooms to upload parts
How do you save a backup of inventory?
I just use the Add Item of BrickLink, then add each piece- number of/price.

I don't usually have problems except when there is some kind of update. The
latest update was the worst. So far, in verifying my inventory (and I'm not
finished yet), I've had to re-add over 750 pieces to 31 different colors,
and I haven't gotten to the BIG inventories like white, tan, blue, red, etc.
These are just what I've had to re-add to the rare or uncommon colors.

Any help would be reatly appreciated!!

How do you know how many pieces you've sold or added? Is there a way to check
that? You have me curious now to see what I've done so far this year.
