Hey sellers,

Have you noticed recently that there is a small amount of orders in your stores
compared to previous weeks / months?

Is it problem because it's the middle of a vacation? Or

Have sellers exempted from VAT finally got over the head from bricklink? And
the buyer is deterred by the 20% VAT added to the order?

I have never sold in the summer yet.

Here is one reason ...

"For Paypal method I add 10% fee."

When buying on Bricklink I worry about buying so much that it pushes my order
into a more expensive postage band but that 10% fee would be an additional reason
to not want to add more things into the basket. I would just add what I really
needed to get from you. If you want larger orders have you considered moving
to a fixed handling fee (or a fixed and lower percentage mix) which would deter
the smaller orders and give an incentive for your buyers to add more items to
get better value?

I am considering reducing this 10%, but In my point is that I had a continuous
increase in orders and money for 6 months, and now it has fallen from the end
of July to the beginning of August (because it is the middle of summer holidays)
and is it not the fault of the current holidays?

The increase was mostly because of the lockdowns. Things are returning to ´normal’

Actually during the lockdowns sales exploded because people were stuck inside
and building was a hobby they could do easily, along with puzzles, movies, board
games...etc. Sales for thoses exploded. Now with lockdowns lifted, people got
back to sports, outside hobbies, kids will return to school...etc

I have never sold in the summer yet.

I shut when lockdown started and reopened in June so caught the tail end of the
'boom' and had my best month ever in June (sales volume was 3x higher
then what I normally do).

July returned to pretty much normal levels and this first week of August has
also been the same. August normally takes a bit of a dip as a lot of people are
on holiday / enjoying the good weather / spending time with family.

So no - I have not noticed a small amount of orders! as others have already stated
- a 10% fee would put people off and would certainly stop me from buying in your
store straight away!

August is historically the slowest month for e commerce.

Totally normal. In fact I'd say this is my best August ever, probably because
people aren't going places.

BINGO!
We usually use august to renovate our shop or take summer vacations- guess which
one we did this year?

August is typically slower, folks finishing up holidays and getting ready to
return back to school, though most in the US are going virtual. We tend to get
ready for the holiday swing, but we also have a retail brick and mortar store.
