Is it still very busy for many stores here ?

Struggling to keep my shop open due to a number of large orders placed along
with smaller ones, can't afford to take too long shipping.

Nice problem but unsure whether it's because I've just reopened ( twice
) with larger stocks or it's like this for many since the corona shutdown.

I'm a one man band with a full time job and don't have much spare time.

Has anyone else found themselves closing their store numerous times in order
to cope with sheer volume of orders for a relatively small shop.

I don't know what to expect, continuing high rate of orders or will it calm
down ?

I'm seeing it too. Recent surge in cases probably has a lot of people hunkered
down and looking for things to buy online.

Had 18 orders in less than 24hrs the first time I opened, several of them large
number of lots, I've already had 6 since I reopened for the second time,
just a few hours ago.

A few more and I'll have to close again, some of the new orders have large
number of lots.

Yes. I've put prices up slightly too which can help. Even If orders aren't
slowed down, at least they are a little bit more worthwhile.

I haven't a clue. I've been finding some minifigure parts that haven't
sold in ages are currently popular.

Noticed that when I priced new stock that the average price had gone up on many,
quite substantially in some cases, they are selling at these new prices too.

Honestly, raise your prices. I'm at the top of the price guide on nearly
everything parts wise (because they take so much time to pull and pack)
and I'm still overwhelmed with orders.

People are buying faster than sellers can list, the cheaper sellers are selling
out which causes buyers to go to the more expensive shops, which is why the average
has risen.

Maybe you can consider to quit your full time job for you got a new one!

If I could afford the stock to keep up with this then I'd be tempted.

I'm so glad I took some time to rearrange my stock, I couldn't possibly
have coped as it was before I closed for the shutdown.

Need to improve it again but I'm learning fast what works for me.

I actually stockroomed the parts aspect of our store because it was too much
for just me to handle. I will re-open the parts once some normalcy comes back.
I was popping 20-30 orders a day and closing multiple times a day to try and
catch up. I guess there could be worse problems and I foresee a massive surge
again in the fall.

It seems to be slowing down for me recently, and I'm back around pre-Covid
order levels the past 2 weeks.

Has anyone else found themselves closing their store numerous times in order
to cope with sheer volume of orders for a relatively small shop?

Yes! I closed my store 3 separate times for a week each at the peak of the order
frenzies. It took me 3-5 days to catch up each time and then I took a couple
days off. I also did a few 24 hour closures just to slow the order pace. Hated
to do it, but I also hate having a backlog.

I don't know what to expect, continuing high rate of orders or will it calm
down ?

Who knows? Time will tell. But my inventory is severely depleted. I'm 10,000
parts and 1,500 lots below my normal operating level. Just haven't had any
time to add substantial inventory during the mass order craze of the last 3 months.

I'm also on my own. I reopened and had 100 orders in the first week (mostly
Bricklink). Ouch.. I was processing orders like 8 hours a day. Decided I will
never reopen again before updating my prices...

I had to put my minimum buy up (from $10 to $15) which seems to have slowed the
orders down to a more manageable level!!

Sorry, I've closed the store again to catch up with orders.

Thank you all for the orders, genuinely, much appreciated.
