It happens, looking at what you left I don't think his negative was justified.
You left him a neutral, which to some people on here is a slap in the face.
Whish might be why he reacted that way. But he is coming out looking worse
on this exchange.

Probably I'm missing information here... But errors in seller's inventories
happens, if the seller offered to refund, I don't feel that warrented a neutral
FB. If you refused to be refunded (as in answer to your fb), you're been
difficult. A neutral on top of that, you were fishing for a neg fb.

Retract your neutral fb and ask your seller to do the same, humility does wonders.

A neutral is not an insult regardless of the missing parts and refunds refused.
The seller could have answered with a neutral of his own, but chose to escalate
with an aggressive negative.

We're missing the agressive emails... That's a 7000k seller, he's
seen others and decided to call this one out ; but yes, could have left a neutral
too.

have you seen how many negatives he has given out ? furthermore you should see
the feedback he has received, just on that alone I would not shop with him.

I disagree it is up to the seller to make good, not the buyer, the buyer bought
in good faith, it is up to the seller to insure their inventory is correct and
accurate. they failed to do so.

Errors in parts inventories are going to happen from time to time, and they do
not mean that the seller is negligent. Haven't all of us experienced an order
from a major retail chain that has one or more items "back ordered" or "Not available"?

Most sellers are anxious to resolve order issues to the buyer's satisfaction.
But it takes both sides to negotiate a satisfactory resolution. If the buyer
indicated that he was satisfied with the seller's resolution, then why then
complain about it?
I can understand that the seller wasn't happy with the neutral.

Why are people so afraid of neutrals? It seems that feedback isn't that
important anymore. I have 7 completed purchases where I left feedback but the
seller hasn't. The oldest one was completed at the beginning of April.
The stores range from almost 400 to almost 58000 feedback so they aren't
new to this.

A neutral fb reduces a store's praise %.

Many of us would like it if this wasn't so, a neutral should be as you said,
truly neutral ; but it's not the case. If that change, then yes, we wouldn't
care that much.

"got me 1st neg feedback from a seller who sold parts they never had"

How do you know this? Maybe the seller made a mistake?

Seller's terms state:

"Sometimes errors can occur, we are only human after all, if there is an item
or items that are missing from your order when we are pulling the order together
then we will issue a refund for the missing items."

Did the seller do this? If so, why did you leave neutral feedback? What else
should the seller have done?

I agree, leaving a neutral or negative feedback for a seller who is unable to
supply something during the picking process is harsh. Many sellers sell accross
multiple platforms and I for the most part already take the precautions of not
listing all my stock on any one site at any one time which means I try to keep
backup stock available to cover these kinds of issues and yet sometimes stock
oversights still occur?
It only takes a bulk quantity order to go missing and replacments sent for that
order to cause problems if stock is'nt instantly and manually adjusted accross
each of your selling platforms however the moment you know you need to do it
is usually the moment you're very busy trying to get orders processed and
out the door! Therefore I feel a little more understanding was required on the
buyers part that said we have a system where retalitory seller feedback is possible
when it should'nt be especially when the buyer gets a Negative for leaving
a Neutral??

If the seller only refunds and does not give the buyer the option to cancel the
order, then I think leaving neutral feedback for the seller is fine here. It
warns other buyers that the seller may not have items they say they do and, if
this happens to be the case, they expect the buyer to go ahead anyway even if
that part was important. If it doesn't happen very often, it does no harm.
If it happens a lot, then other people should be warned.

That said, I think you need to leave better feedback. Putting "not impressed"
is completely useless for anyone else. It does not tell them what you are not
impressed by.
