I purchased a small lot of three items:

12L Technic axles; 2x2 bright blue bricks; brown brooms

The seller sent Technic hoses and medium blue bricks.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmiATgDSmjs

I said the seller needn't do anything---I forgave them (no refun was
necessary), but I did leave poor feedback (which I feel is fair).

The seller then proceeded to leave negative feedback for me in turn, claiming
I lied about parts received (I had no motivation as I had said no refund or other
action was necessary).

At that, I click to report a problem, with this being my only option from Bricklink,

"File a Non-Shipping Seller Alert Help on Non-Shipping Seller Alert
(date)
- If payment was sent and seller hasn't shipped"

Not the correct complaint, but I had no other option.

Seller lies AGAIN, by asserting they gave me the option to return the parts for
a refund. The seller cannot be contatced as I'm blocked by them.

How do I remove the negative feedback I unfairly received from the seller?

Well by checking the sellers feedback it seems they are not the friendly sort
too.

I'm sending them this, if the system doesn't block it,

"I made a video showing the parts I received from you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmiATgDSmjs

Sir, you sent the wrong parts; how difficult is that to accept, especially when
I contacted you, via notes, that no refund was necessary. My purpose was to make
you aware that someone on your end isn't picking orders correctly.

As for the NSS ...I tried to contact you about the feedback you'd left, but
found I was blocked (how childish). I clicked 'Report Problem', with
an NSS being the only option.

You did send, sure, but you sent the wrong parts (two of three lots were wrong,
in fact). That, technically, is a NSS.

What have you to say? Why do you think it is impossible that you sent the wrong
parts?
Why do you think I would lie about receiving the wrong parts if I didn't
ask for new parts or a refund? There was no motivation on my end---you made
a human error (just own up to it---even now I'm not asking for anything
more)"

I will take it up a level if I need to, I just want to do so appropriately.

Sadly what makes matters worse is that apparently 2x2 bright light blue bricks
have never been in any set so the 8 sellers that are currently selling them more
than likely have them listed under the wrong color.

Yes too many bad reviews of a wrong sort in a short time. Seems like a good store
to avoid..

To play devil's advocate here.. You did tell the seller that no refund or
replacement parts were necessary. So therefore you didn't give the seller
a chance to make it right. Also any time you leave a negative feedback the other
person can do the same to you..fair has nothing to do with it. My advice would
have been to leave no feedback and just move on If you really forgave the seller.
Just my opinion.

Trying again: 'Making it right' would entail returning the parts at my
expense (the shipping costing more than the order). Not worth it for myself or
they.

As for the feedback ...Ok, leave me negative feedback. For example, 'Buyer
didn't give me a chance to fix problem' would be acceptable. Accusing
me of lying about the order (without evidence) is flatly wrong.

No. When I have been advised by buyers that I've sent the wrong part or parts
...I tell them to keep them and that I'll send the correct parts (if I have
them ...which is 99% of the time). Regardless of whether or not it is cost effective
or not postage wise. My mistake, I fix.

Not everyone is as mature as you are ...and I do see (and agree with) your side.

That said, it didn't go down that way: I was hasty with feedback, and the
seller didn't respond appropriately (two wrongs don't make a right, as
Mother would say).

Could be I need to let this go; to let God deal with this person (and myself,
both) as neither I nor the seller seem able to respond well to negativity.

It should never be your responsibility to pay for return postage if the seller
messed up. If this would have happened at my store I would have handled it one
of two ways.
1 sent you replacement parts as soon as possible if I had them.
2 sent you a refund for the cost of the missing parts and refund you the shipping
cost.
But if you didn't want either and you still left negative feedback I would
probably be upset too. As sellers dealing with 10,0000s of parts we all make
mistakes. It's how you deal with those mistakes that separates the good stores
from the bad ones.
As far as the negative feedback goes..if he is lying about it that is definitely
wrong. But unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do about it.

You're right; I need to let this go. There is so much suffering and anger
in the world as it is. The unhappy feelings that both myself and the seller have
demonstrated against one another isn't righteous---it's unworthy
of our 'upset', given there are (again) actual problems in the world
that are worthier of our unhappiness.

a chance to make it right. Also any time you leave a negative feedback the other
person can do the same to you..fair has nothing to do with it. My advice would
have been to leave no feedback and just move on If you really forgave the seller.
Just my opinion.

Bricklink needs an edit button.

I'd keep pushing the NSS, yes your feedback may have been hasty, but still
instead of the seller trying to work with you they sent retaliatory feedback
and of all feedback I hate that type the most.

At that, I click to report a problem, with this being my only option from Bricklink,

"File a Non-Shipping Seller Alert Help on Non-Shipping Seller Alert

Not the correct complaint, but I had no other option.

Seller lies AGAIN, by asserting they gave me the option to return the parts for

How do I remove the negative feedback I unfairly received from the seller?

yeah but the seller left retaliatory feedback and evidently has a track record
of doing it, that is a seller I would never do business with and would tell anyone
I know to avoid them like the plague because their actions tell whole paragraphs

1. Read the terms - the seller says nothing about problem resolving, only that
you must pay for an order you placed, which is good, since you've done that;
2. NSS was correct, but you should have chosen the reason: "Seller shipped order,
but order was incomplete";
3.The seller was correct to defeat the NSS you filed as he did ship. He could
have shipped you a rotten egg, the issue is that the NSS was for non-shipping,
not for incompleteness.

Probably you are going to have to complete the NSS to remove the feedback. You
will need to file the NSS again for the correct reason, refuse a refund and demand
the correct parts as ordered. Also, the seller do not have terms that state you
must return the items at your cost for a refund, so that is not a defense for
an NSS.

You decision to own this negative, as you posted in another message, is in my
view incorrect. This seller sent you the wrong parts, got his full payment for
doing everything wrong and then proceeds to blame you for telling the world that
he failed to live up to what is promised to you in his terms:"I clean, organize,
sort, and restore the parts so that I can provide other Lego enthusiast with
the very best vintage Lego sets, and parts, to help them complete sets and collections."

Clearly you did not receive the best parts you ordered and clearly you cannot
complete your set and collection. The seller did not live up to his own terms.
It is called breach of contract. In saying that, your solution that no refund
is required and that you forgave the seller, should have ended right there. The
seller should have used the experience to learn from and adjusted his store practices
rather than blame you or call you rude. BL is supposed to be for adults. Probably
both of you should rather not have used the feedback system at all and just walked
away from this horrible transaction.

I would agree, but I have deleted the evidential video (I have kept a copy in
case BL asks for it directly) and have publicaly apologized for my unhappy and
upset feelings. To continue going after the seller now would be hypocritical.
A few collectors here have voiced a dislike of the seller's actions and feedback---that's
punishment enough for them.
If that cannot be agreed with, then try this: one day, that seller (if they are
unrepentant), will ruin someonelse's order ...and that buyer won't back
down. Again, I deleted my video, but at the end of it, I said,

"If the seller thinks I'm aggressive, they haven't met many people"

The problem I see here, is if you let them slide now, they will never learn their
mistake and will continue to repeat it. because you did not do anything now,
they will do this to someone else later.

They'll eventually pick a fight with a buyer who won't take their crap.

Why am I taking it? ...In a way, I'm not: I've left them in the hands
of God ...which isn't a place one wants to be, esp. if one knows one's
in the wrong.

Not sure why you'd leave negative feedback for this. Since you didn't
ask the seller to do anything to fix the mistake, you essentially left negative
feedback for the mistake itself. As a seller, I wouldn't be too happy about
this type of negative feedback either.

Two of three items mispicked isn't acceptable. Could be the person they have
picking orders requires training. If the seller picked the order theirself, they
were remiss and need to be made aware of it (a mark on their score speaks very
loudly---enough to wake them up if they've/-'d a habit of picking
orders in their sleep).

Ah yeah... That seller.

I've needed some things before that they had, but I wont touch that kind
of person with a ten foot pole.

My only advice here is to pay closer attention to feedback, particularly in this
case at least, the angry replies in all caps.

I'd steer clear of anything under 99%, as a rule, personally.

Agreed! I don't mind if a seller acquires Neutral or Negative feedback because
stuff happens, but their responses usually tells you everything you need to
know about their customer service. In my opinion, a professional statement of
facts is the only acceptable response to bad feedback.

An actual note from the seller,

"If you don't want the items, send them back and I will issue a refund!
Remove your feedback and I will remove mine!
Pretty simple, agreed?"

...I effectively told them I wasn't born yesterday.

To this point, the seller has denied ANY possibility that they have mispicked
the order. In light of that, if I (at my own expense) return the parts they sent
me, they could (not saying would, but could) claim the parts they received were
not the parts they sent (because, again, they have shown no evidence that they
believe they could have made a mistake).

Not happening.

While I agree on that point, I'm going to slightly advocate for the seller
in this instance. Buyer received wrong parts, but told seller that they 'forgave'
them and to not worry about correcting the error. Then proceeded to leave negative
FB.

By doing so, the buyer may have unnecessarily escalated the situation. They
did not even provide the seller with the opportunity to try to fix the problem.

Yes, the seller responded harshly. How many people would tell someone that you
forgave them for a small mistake, but then went ahead and punched the person
in the face. Not cool.

just saying I would have avoided this situation to begin with, personally.

Right or wrong, this seller clearly has an issue in general.

On my first reply to this post I tried to pay "devil's advocate" I was only
looking at it as an isolated incident and not looking at the bigger picture.bur
"File a Non-Shipping Seller Alert Help on Non-Shipping Seller Alert
(date)
- If payment was sent and seller hasn't shipped"

Not the correct complaint, but I had no other option.

Seller lies AGAIN, by asserting they gave me the option to return the parts for
a refund. The seller cannot be contatced as I'm blocked by them.

How do I remove the negative feedback I unfairly received from the seller?

When I first replied to this post I was only looking at it as an isolated incident
and not looking at the bigger picture. But after reviewing the seller's feedback
and how he deals with negative feedback you can definitely see a pattern developing.
He seems to blame everyone but himself and calls every buyer with a problem order
a liar.
Hopefully you can get that negative feedback removed but if you can't you
should wear it as a badge of honor for standing up for yourself and maybe saving
somebody the same problem you had in the future.

Hmm.. That doesn't make sense and feels like backstabbing to me. I'd
say make up your mind: Either forgive, or don't forgive. By saying you forgive
but then really you don't, you're denying the seller the opportunity
to correct mistakes. I would rather pay a €50 refund than get 1 negative feedback.

Hindsight is always 20/20 (and I apologized for the feedback).

The seller was forgiven their monetary/item debt, yes. I counted the feedback
I left as a warning (they mispicked 2/3rds of the order).
Again, I should have waited on leaving feedback (I acknowledge that), but that's
not what happened.

What we have here is a case of two persons making mistakes: one owned up to theirs,
the other didn't.

As long as you leave that feedback there, I personally feel you haven't "owned
up" to your mistake. But in case you don't know, you can remove feedback
up to 30 days after placing it.

I'm unsure, at this point, that I should remove it (my feelings notwithstanding),
given what others have said of this seller.

BL relies on feedback. I could remove mine, but (in light of many things---read
through these comments), would that be the right thing to do here?
The seller's nastiness is a mark against them---they aren't sorry
and would gladly upset another buyer if they chose to.

The feedback remains.

Exactly. Everyone can make a mistake, it's understandable. It is all about
how the seller handles the mistakes, and if the mistakes are what the word 'mistake'
implies.. As opposed to - at what point it is time to call a series of mistakes
a 'pattern', which other users should be aware of.

Have to agree with firestar246... Now if there is some way you can still contact
them.. (email?) I think it would be decent to remove the feedback, tell the seller
what you said here, that you too made a mistake, try to start off with a clean
slate and try to get some constructive solution where both parties don't
lose. If that then fails, then you have a very legitimate reason to post that
feedback anyway.
Diplomacy really goes a long way - take it from me, look at my ratings.

problem is this is what the seller sent him: "If you don't want the items,
send them back and I will issue a refund!
Remove your feedback and I will remove mine!
Pretty simple, agreed?"

indicates he wants the buyer to pay for his(sellers) error in cost of shipping.

In comparison.....

Few days back I raised an issue with one seller who sent me some USED items sold
as NEW.

Hi Lukas,

thanks for your message and photo's. A full refund of the items you claimed
to be in a used state is no problem. I want that my costumers have the beste
buying experience at my shop. You can look at my feedback that everyone has that
till today since 2008.

I have checked your photo's and checked where I have got the items from in
the past. Some are from a big bulk buy from a big BrickLink shop here in the
Netherlands. I buyed the items as new and its my fault I didn't checked all
the parts as close as you did.

To compensate the time you have lost on reacting on my message I decide to
make a full refund of the complete order.

Unfortunately I can't replace the wrong parts so I hope this wil soften the
pain of not receiving what you have expect.

I want to say I really haven't sold these parts deliberately as Used, and
I hope you can believe this.

You asked what for feedback I expect, but I want to leave this to you. I hope
that my solution is satisfying to you.
.

Total order value 53.39 EUR incl shipping, while what I paid for the problematic
items is 25.7 EUR.

I of course do not want a full refund nor I am saying that it is necessary. Even
though it is true that one of the problematic lots was the single reason
for the order in the first place.

What's important here is the way the issue is addressed by the seller, including
owning up to the mistake.

Rhetorical question.
Does this seller and the one discussed in this topic deserve the same treatment/feedback?

The seller in your situation did not try to penalize you with paying for postage
to send back items they screwed up on, big difference, and furthermore your seller
does not have the track record the other seller does either.

Precisely. That was the point of my reply.

I wish there was a way to like comments! This is exactly how I feel about this,
yes after further review sounds like the seller has issues. But this buyer has
issues too, let the seller fix it and if he doesn't then deal with it. But
don't say "no big deal" and then leave bad feedback!
