The one on the left is from my Architecture Statue of Liberty set and has flat
top and bottom, but these light (or very light) bluish gray on the right have
a flat and a rounded side as seen in the image. I don't know if they are
just from an older mold or are fakes. I have a number of these in a lot I picked
up, but don't know if they are legit.

I don't know. The bottom left looks legit.

Have you compared and contrasted with the BL catalog listing 3D image?

Most of mine are flat but I did find one that had one rounded side like yours.

If they are genuine, there will be a copyright mark on one flat side of one cuff
- (C)LEGO or just (C).

Play well,
Joel

I did take a look at the 3D image which is why I' questioning it as they
are both flat. Here is a pic of the flat side. There is a (C) in the one "round"
and a number in the other. This is the same on the second item, just a different
number.

I just checked the part from my original set

Set No: 7724 Name: Advent Calendar 2008, City (Day 18) - Criminal with Handcuffs
*
7724-19 (Inv) Advent Calendar 2008, City (Day 18) - Criminal with Handcuffs
1 Part, 1 Minifig, 2008
Sets: Holiday & Event: Advent Sub-Set: City
and it looks exactly like yours (i.e. one rounded side, one number and (c) ).
