Hi everyone,
Don't know if anyone can help me, i am looking at buying some mixed Lego
and was wondering what the average price was at this moment as i cannot seem
to find a figure and don't want to pay well over the odds. I'm seeing
anything on ebay from £10 to £30 so what defines the price, is it weather there
is technic in there or certain colours more valuable. I am just bit confused,
have only gotten into Lego recently.....
Anyway thanks for your time people and hope to hear from you and i've posted
this on right page. Regards, Tony in Norfolk

Try to stay away from cherry picked lots on Ebay. The absolute best way is people
that sell their kid’s collection or their own in your immediate area. Join FB
groups, place ads...etc. Price should not be above 5 USD/pound

Hey Tony, I think this hinges a bit on your intent. I had about 500 missing parts
from roughly 30 sets from my childhood. I first bought a 10Lb (4.5kg?) lot from
ebay that contained 1 piece that I needed (doh!). Huge waste of money however,
this unknowingly started me down the road to selling on bricklink (2000 some
orders in 3 years later). My advice, If you are trying to piece old sets together
just use wanted lists. If you are simply bulking up on parts or starting a store,
we pay $5 a pound shipped at max (6.20 per kg) Andy

Bulk lots on eBay at fixed prices from sellers that sell lots of bulk are almost
certainly cherry picked and overpriced.
