As most who have dealt with them would know, 54821/95753/15365, most Zamor Spheres
are inconsistent in color. Why? Because they're a marble of two colors. While
I can theorize on what colors were used, that's not what I'm going to
do here. Listing them with those colors is not worthwhile for the purpose of
recognition. Instead, I'd suggest sticking to handling them as single-colored.
Currently, Zamors are often inconsistently listed. For example, Zaktan is listed
with a different zamor from the other 5 Piraka sets, even though they all share
the same one, and Toa Inika Jaller/Hahli are listed with Trans-Neon Green, which
is far from their actual seagreen color, and easily confused with the Piraka's.
My following suggested groupings are based on the part numbers listed in the
instruction manuals, where applicable, where as the suggested colors are approximations
using the existing BL colors. If the set number is followed by a question mark,
it means the part ID is not present in the instructions, and if the ID is replaced
with a question mark, that means it is unknown.

What do you mean by this, as they all are catalogued as containing:

Oh. Yeah; apologies, that's my bad. The inconsistency (seen on https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&colorInSet=108&catType=S&v=2)
is apparently caused by the alternate items.
New example; Toa Inika Kongu vs Matoro. Anyhow, the examples aren't too important,
my biggest issue is how difficult it is to find seagreen spheres. (Most Neon
Green shop listings tend to be Piraka the Piraka ones, and there's nobeasy
way to know.)

The other problem is, they also varied in color. A LOT. I had a NISB Zaktan that
had a straight green zamor sphere, then the 3 trans neon green ones.
Agreed. In that particular case, it seems to be Green mixed with Trans-Yellow
to different extents. Some of the orange zamors look really yellow or flat out
red as well. Perhaps more alternate colors? Though that could easily become a
mess.
Been looking more into this since the original post here, so I wanted to give
an updated overview. Again, primarily sourced from Instructions where possible,
secondarily from LEGO's database. Set inventories in the database are often
updated to use equivalent pieces for the purpose of replacement part orders,
for this reason it is not as reliable.
As far as identifiying parts goes, the two biggest issue seem to be distinguishing:
- the rare occuring solid marbles from the regular single-color spheres.
- certain even-colored 4296080 from 4655587. If Trans-Bright Green was consistently
fluorescent, this wouldn't be an issue. However, that is not the case.
Contrary to what I originally proposed, for dealing with the varied marbled parts
I think the approach 54821pb05 is probably for the best, at least that is my
opinion.
--Solid Colors--
These should all be fine as is, but I'll list them for completeness sake.
Sets 6230, 6282, 8191, 8547, 10211, 70212
Possibly alternate for sets 7179, 2260, 2521, 8863, 70107? Particularily doubtful on 70107 in this regard.
54821/4586623 - Tan
Sets 2509, 8864
54821/6198976 - Black
Sets 75188 (both versions), 76104
--Transparent--
54821/4655587 - Trans-Bright Green
Sets 6203, 6217, 6218, 6221, 6222, 6223, 6227, 44014, 44015, 44019, 44022, 44028, 44029, 70132, 70163, 70165, 70503, 70732, 9780545703307
Set 9450 on replacement orders, possibly alternate.
Seem to vary a bit in translucency. Compared to 4297034/4583979, these are somewhat more yellow, though this can be difficult to notice under certain lighting conditions. However, this instead makes them difficult to distinguish from some even-colored 4296080.
Some but not all are fluorescent. Uncertain if there is a pattern as to which ones are/are not.
Sets 6202, 6293 (as 4655097)
Set 7160 on replacement orders, possibly alternate. (as 4609596)
315 Silver Metallic
--Marble 1--
Two different colors blended together. May vary between evenly mixed, marbled,
or single-colored, which make them tricky to identify. Typically one transparent
color and one solid color.

I haven't been able to find an ID for a Cool Silver one yet, but I will try
to find one. Cool Silver is lighter in color than Silver, but these spheres are
known for being weird.

So, it's been over a year since I last posted on this lol...
I'm unsure exactly how to proceed here. Since they are marbled, most accurately
I think what should happen is:
- rename 54821pb05 "Ball, Bionicle Zamor Sphere with Marbled Trans-Bright
Green Pattern" to "Ball, Bionicle Zamor Sphere with Marbled Trans-Yellow
Pattern", and have the 4296080 sets use that in green, while the 4297030
ones use red.
- make 54821pb06 and 54821pb07 "with Marbled Trans-Light Blue Pattern"
and "with Marbled Milky White Pattern". The former for 4296577/4297031/4585759/6024162,
and the latter for 4297034/4583979.
- finally, move 4655587 to Trans-Bright Green.
However, that is a little beyond my scope.
I also still need to further research the alternates for sets 7160, 9450, 7179,
2260, 2521, 8863, 70107... But that costs more money!
4297034, 4583979 (both 6.Multikombination) use Green. Sadly, no set lists the
other color (still probably Trans-Clear or Milky White).
6024162 is already confirmed to be Blue & Trans-Light Blue in its description,
which has also been depicted in renders (inc. manual for 7699), and is equivalent
to 4296577, 4297031, 4585759. 4297031 and 6024162 are also both confirmed 3.Multicombination.

4518505 uses Trans-Green & Trans-Light Blue. (Also does 4519505 actually exist?
It feels like a typo, and it's definitely not in any manual.)
One correction to make here: 4296577 is color 42 (Transparent Light Blue) and
not color 32 (3.Multicombation) like 4297031, 4585759, and 6024162.
I doubt 4296577 was actually used. 7699 lists it in the instructions, but the
render it uses throughout, including the bill of materials, is marbled blue/trans-light
blue. I'm inclined to believe the use of that number is an error. Inventory
data also gives 4297031.
